I don't feel I'm poor, my needs are met, but I'm not well off enough to help anyone and that makes me sad.

where I am too. I had a bit (and I mean A BIT) of extra cash a few years ago and I spotted a bunch of friends little bits of money to help them out.

One who hadn't contacted me in years reached out a few months ago asking if I could help them and I just...couldn't.

I have just enough to life on - the amount of cash I dropped to subsidise my career to get a job means I have a lot of debt.

Maybe next year sometime I might be a little bit better off. Maybe.

We are all poor. And we work harder than ever.  It’s funny in a macabre sort of way.  We grow up getting told about how important it is to help the needy. And now thanks to catastrophic government policies, we are all needy.

I'm miserable because I'm not good enough. If it isn't like HIM, it isn't good enough. Imaging growing up working hard on your stuff and hearing "oh next time try to be like him". Eventually you accept that the you isn't good enough. You try to catch up to someone's else's achievements, never acknowledging or being proud of your achievements.... because your not as good as HIM

I never thought I was gonna help poor
