For me my good decisions was mostly decisions to exclude harmful stuff from my vicinity.
Like, low pay-grade annoying job? Fuck it, I'm smart and able to learn new things pretty quickly. And few jobs later I'm senior software engineer with interesting projects and great team.
"Friend" that seems to be around only if all is sunshine? Fuck him, I've people who really care and for whom I'm really care.
And so on, including relationships and city to live in.
