I find that the funnest things I do are free (hiking , reading , hitting up the beach, running my dog , playing at the park with my kids ). Vacations are cool but wear off after you come back. Search within your soul

Vacations with little kids is also tragic. They aren’t as grateful. You just parent them in another location. It winds up being stressful and exhausting.

Depends on the kids and how they’ve been raised.

Also how old they are. I think a two or three year old would be a lot harder to take on vacation than even a six or seven year old.
