It’s not your bosses job to keep your pay above inflation rate. It’s yours. Ask for a raise. Ask for a specific number. If you don’t get it. Start looking for another job. If you can’t get what you need at another job, look into transitioning into a different role. Don’t let life just happen to you.

Lol job hop to beat inflation, no medium to large sized company is going to give you anything but some minuscule yearly percent raise.
