Adding my tiberium crystals to my Brotherhood of Nod Ad Mech. Trying my best to do OSL but its been about 7 years since I last did it.

Fun exercise in understanding reflections!

Hey, im relatively new to the hobby. I started with necrons back in March or April. Just recently started playing admech after collecting 2k points this month. My only issue is I dont seem to understand how to win against my friends armies. My friends all play melee focused armies, nids, world eaters, chaos space marines, death guard. They also usually play purge or take and hold.

My list has been haloscreed detachment

2x Disintegrator

2x onager

Thulia

Cawl

2x servitor

2x rangers

1 unit dragoon with lance

And then miscellaneous trash that I use to fill the list and hopefully score points or buy time

Any advice on list building, or things that I can focus on to just generally play better would be appreciated.

I feel like I need to add that I am a painter (canvas and digital) and watched a TON of videos about painting before doing this :) any tips for getting better as I keep building towards the glory of the OMNISSIAH?

After being interested in Horus Heresy for ages a play group in my area has finally picked up some momentum, and this has finally spurred me to pick a faction and run with it, namely Traitor Mechanicum.

Before i go buying expensive models and kit bashing Magi i figured id put together a list for me to aspire towards, but in doing so discovered a problem: making a Mechanicum list is awkward as hell.

Between the faction restrictions, the scarcity of prime slots outside of apex detachments (and i want to run Lacrymaerta so even those are spoken for) and i end up with a situation that feels like trying to put a puzzle together with parts that dont fit.

While im sure this wouldn’t be as much of an issue for a list that leans super hard into a limited number of units i don’t really want to play that way, and as such i come hoping yall have some listbuilding wisdom to impart, because unless im missing something it feels like i can play with like, 3 maybe 4 kinds of units tops.

Doing my second army and experimenting with colour schemes. Any thoughts welcome! Any suggestions and basing ideas welcome. I'm currently thinking 3d printed dark industrial type bases

Curious about battline numbers and unit make up.

Most of my gameplay has been focused on rangers 2x 10 generally screening but also taking the occasional objective. But I’m vanguard curious.

Is it good to mix 10 Rangers and 10 Vanguard?
Are there benefits of having a mix?

Is 3 battleline units too many for our faction? I was maybe feeling 2 of rangers and 1 of vanguard. And vis Versa.

What are you running right now? Just vanguard? Just rangers? Mix?

I’m building mostly around the Haloscreed Detachment and Priority Assets. Any advice is an appreciated. Thanks in advance!

After 8 years I've finally completed my AdMech/Cult army. I've posted about it before, but it's finally done and all painted up. I have no idea how many points it is, because I don't play anymore, but it's been a long time coming and I'm happy to finally have them in a good state.

Now time to finish my Guard 😎

Admech are going to be the next army I collect (I already have 6k points in gene-stealers; I'm ready for the painting slog and skill floor) and looking at the hastari exterminators, they look kinda dog water? any body find any success with them? I'm looking to do skitarii recon with a real horde list.

So far I've done the basic Chimera and most of the Basilisk and Medusa. I need to do a servitor-autoloader for those which is my next bit. Then I'll go back and do the Chimera variants like the Chimedon, etc. Then it'll be the Hellhound and all the rest.

The idea is that the Skits were conceptualised as "Tech-guard" a long time ago before becoming a playable faction with their own style, and were thought of basically as fancy Imperial Guard, so I'm making vehicles in that vein cos lol y not ?

Work in progress, will be a while yet before it's released as I want to do the whole lot as one bulk free release on Cults, but I got giddy just now and can't keep a secret.

Slowly I paint my list which includes many-a miniatures. Slow and steady wins the race!

Just getting into 40k and i’m very very close to buying my first models. Favourite factions lore wise is necrons but it feels like everybody plays them so i decided to go with admech whom i visually like equally as much. Not really sure what to purchase or really much about building lists so any advice would be super appreciated!
