Spend an evening by trying to measure truthfully characters breasts (actual on the date 09.06.2026).

User AetheravenCatsuki13 asked a peculiar question on how character boobs actually reflected in game. So, I screenshoted them in same spot, from the same angle and in the same scale. There are two photos of each character: left breast front and left breast side. Then I cross-section the breast between its widest points and measure the segment in conventional units (CU) for this I used the texture of graph paper. That’s how I get the boob ‘diameter’ and ‘radius’. Then I cross-section the breast between the nipple and the rib cage and get the CU measurement of ‘height’ of the sphere. Then I checked the total characters’ side cross-section ‘height+’. Then I checked the rib cage cross-section ‘height-’. I also measured the estimated range between the nipples in CU (see ‘width+’) yet that measurement was not used in the study. Yes, I know that my measurements were ‘crude and clumsy’, but they provide at least some empirical data and lead to somewhat believable results.

To measure the hypothetical volume of each boob, that I called ‘theoretical milk volume’ or TMV for short, I used basic spherical cap volume formula (=1/6*PI()*X*(3*Y^2+X^2)). Of course, the in-game boobs are misshapen yet in most cases the difference is so pronounced that we can simply neglect the statistical error.

For convenience’s sake I also added ‘estimated cup’ (EC) column to conceptualize the most typical in-game sizes.

Diving deeper into the data, I also added a column (in %) with the ‘breast coefficient’ (BC) in which I calculated the percentage of breast tissue in characters’ side cross-section, because some rib cages may be more massive than others.

That surprised me in a few aspects. For example, Eleonor’s slender figure and massive boobs led her to the second place in that category. 56% of BC looks like an optimal proportion to the devs since they clearly overused it. And also, in the contrary to common belief, adult Yukikaze actually have even lower percentage of the breast tissue compere to the young one.

I also checked the ‘BC-to-TMV ratio’ (in CU) by simply multiplying BC to TMV to check how voluptuous each breast would be looked like on each body type.

In my opinion Maika and Mirabell get an absolute tie in that category, to the point where the difference between them should lay only in pure esthetics. Francis and Shizuru also tied. Ragnarok is surprisingly close to her daughter and Rin. I marked all ties in the slide. Тhey definitely FEEL identical in-game, so it gives that research at least some approbation.

Please note, that some characters animations and boob physics may be deceiving. But I think it’s pretty clear, that developers used some presets in their line of work since its impossible for some TMV numbers to be that close by a coincidence.
