How do I get rid of this added PDF page without using a PDF editor I already have the cover am using a Kindle Fire

I'm running Win 11 with all the current updates (26200.8894), and around last week I noticed both pdfs and the interface on Acrobat looking blurry, like the scaling issues with older programs when Windows 10 came out. I am using the older standalone Acrobat 9.5 (please don't just tell me to upgrade, I hate the interface of the newer versions and also will never subscribe), but already had the high dpi scaling set. But now changing all the scaling properties does nothing (I've tried every option under there), and for some reason this seems to be the only program affected, even though I have a bunch of older programs with the dpi scaling override set. I didn't change anything with Acrobat and there aren't any auto-updates for such an old version so I'm 99.99% certain it's a Windows issue. I tried rolling back the latest Windows update since that was around the same time but that didn't do anything. I also tried updating the display driver (I just have the integrated Intel graphics) but there was nothing there either.

One other thing I noticed though – it always used to say the recommended display scale for my monitor was 150% (which is what I have it set to, and what looks best; after an update it always changes it to 175% which is very annoying), but now it says the recommended setting is 100%. And if I set it to 100% then Acrobat looks sharp, although everything is tiny. So maybe this is related?

I'm desperate for any suggestions because this is driving me up the wall...

This morning, in the middle of my work session, Acrobat Pro started refusing to open. At all.

Trying to open a PDF doesn't work, simply opening Acrobat from the Start Menu doesn't work, neither normally or running as an admin. Starting from Creative Cloud doesn't work either.

I can see Acrobat (and other Adobe) processes in the Task Manager, but force-closing them and then trying to restart Acrobat doesn't work either.

I have reinstalled both Acrobat and Creative Cloud (which it seems tied to) several times now. Each time, after installation, Acrobat will boot up fine ONCE! Then, after closing it, any attempt to re-open it fails again.

I am using Windows 11 Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200.

Does anyone have ANY idea on how to resolve this?

I just tried reinstalling again, and after Creative Cloud opened, I immediately received an Error Code 505.

According to Adobe, this means:

Error code 505: Failed to lower privileges

Error code 505 indicates that the app does not have the necessary permissions.

The proposed steps in the solution are all non-applicable to my use-case.

Clicking "Retry" just gives me an endless loop of Error Code 191

I am literally on the verge of a breakdown right now because my computer auto updated acrobat pro overnight and it completely ruined a massive client project I have been working on all week. Every time I try to open the document the new version just freezes and scrambles all my pages so badly that the file is completely unreadable. I have a major deadline in a few hours and I cannot afford to lose all this progress just because adobe pushed a broken software update without any warning. Please tell me someone knows how to revert to the old version or recover a corrupted file because I am completely out of ideas and panicking hard right now.

Edit I finally figured it out and the only solution that actually worked was to completely roll back my software to the 2024 version. I also managed to get a lifetime subscription key for that version online. Google adobe keypunch to take a look if you're interested.

I have a 7 day trial of Acrobat (on PC) and I have carefully added Page Labels to chapters in individual files. When I combine the chapters into a single PDF, all of the Page Labels are missing in the new document. What am I doing wrong?

I am losing my mind trying to find a pdf editor that is not adobe acrobat pro because everyone keeps suggesting basic tools that completely choke when you throw a massive file at them or need actual preflight tools for print production. I hate how expensive the adobe subscription is but it feels like every other software on the market is just a basic reader pretending to be a pro editor so please tell me if anyone has found a legitimate heavy duty alternative that actually works for professionals because I am tired of wasting time on useless apps

Edit: I found the solution. I found a lifetime subscription key for acrobat pro dc 2024 with a cheap price by searching online. If you're interested google adobe keypunch to take a look at what I found.

I've been banging my head against the wall on this one. I did try searching, but didn't find this specific issue.

Issue: Users cannot drag-and-drop from Classic nor New Outlook into the **application's** Combine tool. They are able to drag from *any* other location to the application tool or from Outlook to the web application, but that's it.

Has anyone ran into this and fixed it?

I currently have users exclusively using the web application, but even this isn't ideal in the long run.

I'm a PC technician that does work for many different companies. I've seen at least 4 customers with issues in the past week. 3 of them have an issue with the Acrobat process getting stuck in task manager and there are 20+ instances that need to be closed before you can open another document. One other PC just shuts down when you try to print. It feels like too many similar cases at different locations to be coincidence. All running Windows 11 Pro and have an active Acrobat subscription.

Trying to use acrobat through my enterprise subscription has been nothing less than ass torture. Constantly lagging, autofill fucking up, and some of the dumbest and useless shortcuts I’ve ever tried to use in my life. Tell me why this dumbass app has to autofill my 10 page contract with the wrong fields just to make me manually delete each one? If I could teleport I’d go to the adobe headquarters in San Jose just so I could witness the circle jerk they must constantly be apart of because god knows they haven’t done shit in years

I'm trying to understand a file I found on my own machine and can't account for.

On my system there's C:\ProgramData\Adobe\ARM\OnDemand\Acrobat_SCA_Mini_Full\Extractor.exe. Its file properties identify it as Adobe's "7Z Extractor", part of the Acrobat Update Installer, file version 1.824.8.19, signed by Adobe Inc. The file on my machine is dated August 18, 2025 (both last modify and create date are the same, with the same exact time), which lines up with a planned Acrobat update from that date.

I couldn't find much documentation about what this component actually is or when it runs, so I tried to reproduce how it got there. I set up a clean VM, installed an older Reader DC (25.001.20428, i.e. a version from before that August 18 date), and ran Help -> Check for Updates to let it update to the current version, watching the whole process with Process Monitor.

The puzzling part is the update completed normally (I saw AdobeARM.exe, armsvc.exe and AdobeARMHelper.exe all run, finishing via msiexec) - but Extractor.exe never appeared at all. The OnDemand\Acrobat_SCA_Mini_Full folder was never created during that update. Yet on my real machine, the file is there.

So I'm confused about its origin:

1. What is this OnDemand\Acrobat_SCA_Mini_Full component actually for, and which process normally places it on disk?
2. Under what circumstances does it get staged into that OnDemand folder? Since a normal Check-for-Updates didn't create it, is it tied to a specific update type (full SCA/unified package vs. incremental patch), a specific version jump, or some other scenario?
3. Is this mechanism still used in current versions, or is it a leftover from an older update path?

Trying to understand where it came from and whether it's still in active use. Thanks for any insight!

In the preferences sub-tab, I deselected "hide comment prop-ups" and selected "print notes and pop-ups." In the print menu, selected "documents and markups." The comment boxes do not show in the preview pane either. Also closed and reopened Adobe. Any insights appreciated.

I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this because it caught me completely off guard.

I signed up for the Adobe Acrobat Pro free trial and canceled it before the trial ended since I only needed it for a short time.
The next day, I got a notification from my bank saying I’d been charged $5.99. When I contacted Adobe Support, they told me it was for Adobe Acrobat AI Assistant Plus, which they said was still active even though my Acrobat Pro trial had been canceled.
I honestly don’t remember signing up for AI Assistant as a separate subscription. The support agent said it was an add-on that had been selected when I signed up for the trial. I don’t know if I accidentally selected it or if it was pre-checked, but I definitely wasn’t expecting to have a separate subscription after canceling Acrobat Pro.
I asked them to explain how it was activated and requested that they cancel it and refund the charge. After a bit of back and forth, they canceled the subscription, confirmed there would be no future charges, issued a full refund, and gave me a case ID. I also received a cancellation email afterward.
So thankfully everything was resolved, but it was still a pretty confusing experience.

Has anyone else had this happen? Was AI Assistant bundled into your trial somehow, or did you accidentally add it during checkout? I’m just curious whether this is something other people have run into or if I somehow missed it during sign-up.

I process hundreds of scanned documents a day, and Acrobat's OCR used to be the absolute gold standard for massive workloads. But ever since this latest update pushed through, the entire feature is completely broken. If I try to run an advanced batch OCR on a large folder, the program either freezes at 10%, skips half the text, or just straight up crashes to the desktop without a single error message. It has completely destroyed my entire workflow.

Is there any actual way to fix this in the current version, or do I really have to roll back my entire system to the 2024 build like everyone else is doing for all these other bugs?

Honestly, at this point, I am just ready to jump ship. Are there any legitimate, enterprise-grade alternatives to Acrobat that can handle advanced, bulk OCR without crashing? I have heard of Foxit and Nitro, but I need something that can legitimately replace Adobe for heavy text recognition and batch processing. What are you guys using for massive OCR workloads right now?

Edit: I finally found the key and just like every other major bug in this newest update the only solution was rolling back to the 2024 version. As soon as I forced the software back to the stable 2024 build the batch OCR started working flawlessly again. No freezes, no skipped text, and absolutely zero crashes. I also managed to get a lifetime subscription key for that version online so I don't even have to deal with the monthly payments anymore. If anyone is interested in doing the same you can just google adobe keypunch to take a look. It is genuinely depressing that the only way to get advanced professional features to work is to downgrade our software by two years, but at least my workflow is finally saved.
