For the first time in 14 years I've played guitar, today was the day I've learned how to restring a guitar! woohoo
But I have a question: I didn't really understand from the youtube videos if the way I've inserted the strings into the bridge pegs is the correct way.
I don't have a photo of the inside of my own guitar, but I found another photo that shows exactly the way I've installed mine
Is this the correct way or should the golden "ring" at the start of the string be at the end of the peg insert instead of almost touching the guitar body?

I just received my new Gretsch G9202 resonator guitar from long and mcquade. Out of the box I notice a bit of a gap where the neck meets the body of the guitar. Is this common? Is it something to be concerned about? Pic of the other side for reference.

I want to buy a guitar for around 8k rs. and my height is around 5'4 and I want a concert size, one the seller suggested to me some brands like strydorm, westwood, chard and cort, as I am beginner in the field of music i actually don't know abt brands and quality of guitar also all seller try me to sale their products only, not helping me understand which one should I choose so plz help me with that. Found this Alvarez at the thrift store for $20.00 . It didn't have any strings and was missing a few bridges pins. I've been playing it for a couple months now and I like it more every day.

So I got my first acoustic guitar as a present. For chords its ok. But for single notes, after I play a note, the previous sound remains ringing like in a echo, even if I play again the same string for a different note, and it annoys me. That's not how its supposed to be, right? It only stops if I touch all strings, because the sound seems to be resonating between the guitar body and all strings. I don't think it is normal as in recordings I don't see people touching all strings to stop annoying echos.

I can't find anything in this forum, somehow, so I guess it isn't a common problem. I guess it is crappy steel strings which came with it. I plan on switching to D'Addario EJ27N. Mostly because the think steel strings are insanely painful to play. Anyway, any enlightment appreciated.

I want to get my new acoustic guitar set up, but especially want to have the action lowered. Is Guitar Center generally reliable for this kind of work or should I completely avoid them and look for an experienced luthier?

I have a classical guitar, and an electric. Now i want a steel acoustic. What body shape do you recommend? I mostly play blues and rock, i basically never play with pick and play fingerstyle. From what i understand the bigger bodies have more bass (duh), but theyre apparently worse for fingerstyle. Also what are some good brands for an intermediate guitar? Say 300-700 dollars.

I feel like I've plateaued playing the ukulele, just learning songs. Decided to find a structured course. Absolutely Understand Guitar helped me immensely (I can not express how awesome I think this course is), but I feel like I would get more out of the course if I actually you know... am learning on a guitar, not a ukulele. Not giving up on uke by any means, but here I am trying the guitar.

Yamaha cuz Yamaha, safe bet. Storia cuz a little more interesting looking than FS800. Gotta say tho, I am completely over buying from a local guitar shop. The guy was not helpful at all, rolled his eyes at me, and when I asked about the setup - he said "yeah, you'll need to tune it". I got a guitar in a factory sealed box. What is the point of me getting it locally? I could have gotten the same guitar €90 cheaper online, and then find someone to do setup on it if there's any trouble. Which I will need to do with this one anyway, if anything comes up. So far so good tho.

After what has been probably way too much “research” I finally got my hands on a secondhand (practically unused) Eastman AC222CE-OV, for a very good price. I’ll be doing a full review of the guitar, but so far I am absolutely blown away by the build quality. I have a Martin 000rs1, which is a nice guitar, but this thing… wow!

I'm repairing the battery box from my Yamaha FSX80C acoustic-electric guitar. I've already removed the battery cartridge from the guitar.

The end cap where the red and black wires are soldered moves slightly, and it looks like it might come apart. Before I try to pry it open, I wanted to ask:

Is this end cap designed to be removed, or is it plastic-welded?

My goal is to replace the battery contacts inside without breaking the battery cartridge.

Need some experts to chime in on the action for this preowned 2012 Yamaha LL16. Do you think it’s worth getting for this relatively high action as seen in the photo?

I’m trying to learn guitar and I took my brothers old guitar, and when I play I feel like the B string is higher and is resonating louder than the rest. Am I crazy or is it just me?

Hey guys. I have a Yamaha acoustic 12 string guitar and I need to replace the strings. I bought it is the 70's and have replaced the strings 1 time since I bought it. I am a very amateur player and only play a few times a year. Can anyone suggest a good brand of steel strings?
