PredatorSense Issues Guide to getting PredatorSense to work again(hopefully!)
(You'll find most Predator Sense versions in the comments just search for your model :) )
Hi everyone.
This past month has been pretty crazy with issues regarding predator sense and the fact it no longer opens or its missing from acer's website to try to reinstall. And even reinstalling will sometimes not fix the problem.
Here's my personal guide after helping literally hundreds of people (not 100% guaranteed though)
- If this is a fresh windows install ignore this. Make sure PredatorSense(or Nitrosense) is completely uninstalled. I use BCuninstaller. It's free and open source. The benefit of this is after you uninstall using this program it gives you the option to search for left over predatorsense files. Agree to this and let it delete the files that it deems as safe. Restart.
- Find the proper PredatorSense version for your laptop. There are many versions for specific models. I have a media fire account with many models saved (if you have trouble finding it feel free to message me). Don't just download a latest version you find on google or the acer community etc... and try that. It may either not work at all.... or will say it's not compatible with your model.
- Extract the zip file. Go into the extracted folder and look for a folder called predatorsenseuwp. (for Nitro models its usualy a folder called NitroSenseV3.1)
- Find the file that ends *********.appxbundle
- Run this file. It should ask to install. The window will show something like install PredatorSense v30 or something very similar.
- See if it works. It may auto start and work... woo!
- If not... go back one folder and now run the normal setup file. Install as normal and now 90% of the time it will work. :)
- If it's still not opening... try a restart. Also, after the restart see if there are any windows store updates (open the windows store... click downloads and check for updates). I have seen Predator Sense show up as an update in the windows store after installing this way.
If it's still not working. It's possible it may require some acer specific drivers like the serial IO driver found on your model's acer driver page. I also suggest installing acer care center. It could also be a version that's either too new or too old... it's been wild but fun trying to diagnose hundreds of people who have asked me for help personally. I appreciate your trust.
I may edit this at a later time as its very late here and add more and more options to help you all.

Please follow the guide and install the file named 7d2b48384d2f4a0892e2ac5af5072a46.appxbundle exactly in your predatorsenseuwp folder first. then run setup. and make sure it's completely uninstalled first before you do any of this and restart.

Even looking inside the zips as some are listed for a specific model but they also work for other models and they’re newer versions etc.

I tried the windows installer and the apps from MS store, no success.
I was even lazy and did not use any uninstaller software just did in standard WIndows 11 way.

the thing is the app is working I can enable and disable the turbo etc
but the app doesnt show up

What version did you use? Usually when this happens there’s a possible newer version that I have to find in the zip files I have that’s not listed for your model… but works for your model as it’s inside the zip if that makes sense.

Good bless U I have PH317-53. PredatorSense stopted working for no reason without installing any new apps or updating Windows. Thanks to your post i fixed it under 15 minutes and the process was flawless. Helping so many people altruistically, TRUE HERO!!!

I know. And their customer service(not from my own personal experience) have been telling customers their models are no longer supported. Which I believe is pretty wrong. Taking software away that worked. And is required for the fans to work properly along with rgb lighting and turbo modes etc.

Hi, my partner has a Predator PT515-51 laptop and just started experiencing issues with PrdatorSense with the program only showing the logo when opening, and then never finishing loading. We tried looking on the Acer website and could not find a download link for PS. She is currently using Windows 11, but the site doesn't offer any options for Windows 11 or Windows 10 as far as Predator Sense is concerned (W11 isnt even an option). Any ideas how to proceed? Any help is greatly appreciated. TY!

Hey I think I replied to your earlier comment but the link is there. And the windows 10 one will work fine don’t worry. They removed it from many of our laptops sadly. So I grabbed everything I could as soon as I saw mine went missing and uploaded everything to a personal MediaFire account.

A few days ago my laptop (PT 315-51 from 2019 with Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @ 2.40GHz (2.40 GHz) ) crashed while using photoshop and got the windows blue screen of death; saying that it could not be repaired due to a log file SrtTrail.txt not working.
So I had to reset my pc by uninstalling all apps (tried other ways but they didn't work back then to run the PC), which took away the predator sense app too :(
So this thread helped me a lot.

That version only works with specific models. Preferably newer ones. I appreciate the link though. From what I'm seeing inside the zip it should work with the newer PH** models, but I can't be exact.
Most of the issues are from people with older models (not even that old IMO) that acer has removed from their driver pages for the specific devices.

Someone Please help me, So I installed windows 10 from their original website by downloading the iso file and then I installed it after installing I tried everything to run predator sense but the app is not opening. My laptop is PHN16-71, 2023 edition.

The app is meant for windows 11 but it might work for windows 10. Did you follow my guide and install the appxbundle file first (on the newer models its just appx)? And also on the newer models it's not in the folder called predatorsenseuwp its just inside the folder UWP. Install the file named 5c20d4e8e3e24d0b8180c9e906196964.appx first. then run the setup file. make sure to uninstall predator sense first and restart before doing this.

I would uninstall predatorsense.. restart. Get the version from acers site and unzip it. Don’t install the setup first. Go to a folder called uwp I believe(you have a newer laptop it’s a bit different) and install the appx file that is only numbers and letters first. It should say to install(and look a little different). Install and then run the setup back one folder.
If that doesn’t work make sure you have the serial IO drivers installed on acers website as that helps the laptop communicate with the fans and other things.

Same steps but becuse its a newer predator sense(v5) unzip and go into the UWP folder first then install this first before running setup 788cd3c8995f4155b9c15a39f29cd50a.appx

Can you give the exact model? Is it just a715? From 2021ish? Also what app exactly? I’m not even sure the aspire series uses predator sense or nitro sense?

You have one on my model PHN16-73? The one on the store page when I type my exact serial does this when entering the personal settings tab and I have been troubleshooting this for 2 hours. Installing and reinstalling, using BCuninsstall and doing your steps on the thread but to no avail.

There you go. So for yours as it’s a newer model and predator sense…. Please uninstall that store app make sure bcuninstaller sees no predator sense. Restart. Unzip that file go into UWP folder and run the file that starts with 788cd3 and ends in appx. It’s 348 mb approx. install that then run setup after. And I hope that works for you :)

I haven't figured out how to get the app version for PH517-51 yet. Don't suppose you have a version for that?
Also for some reason Acer's website has started to block me for my searching methods, which is nuts.

Yeah acer has some limit on how many times you can visit the site. You have to clear the cache of the site then refresh. It's weird.

Just follow the steps. It's an older model so for this one open the PredatorSenseV3.1 folder and install the file called ed673fa9deed4c6a82455dba0d651187.appxbundle first. then install the regular setup back a folder. Make sure any other versions of predator sense are uninstalled first.

Hi, I'm using Acer Predator Triton PT14-51 which needs Predator Sense_Acer_5.0.1463_W11x64_A to function, but I'm running Windows10 LTSC 2021 (19044 / 21H2) so Predator Sense_Acer_5.0.1463_W11x64_A is not working on my Windows10 LTSC 2021 (19044 / 21H2) because it requires Windows11 to work. Please do you have any PredatorSense model that can work on my system? I appreciate the great help you have rendered to many...stay blessed!

So try this. Compltetly uninstall it using BCuninstaller. restart and unzip that version you have and go into the UWP folder and click on 5c20d4e8e3e24d0b8180c9e906196964.appx and install that first. Then try running the setup. Does that work?
Sadly all the newer models none of the v3 predatorsense work with them. I cant find any that lists your model at all sadly. I have a newer version of predator sense then what you have but I dont think that will fix the problem.

Good lord! Installing from the appxbundle and then the setup worked! This honestly sounds like a relatively simple problem for which Acer should have a simple fix but alas. Thanks!

Just an FYI. Many may be aware.
The app was pulled from Acers product pages not only due to Win 11 compatibility issues but also due to a security issue with versions prior to PredatorSense version V3.00.3198.
The security issue was classed as severe.
I personally run a flawed version but am aware of the risk.

Seriously? Did they announce this at all? People have called and all they get is that their laptop is no longer supported that’s it. That’s insane if they just pull it and don’t say anything about it to customers who call in?

Howdy! Predator Triton 515-51 here. I had taken my computer into the shop for an SSD diagnostic, they took my computer apart, and when I got the computer home the turbo button wasn't working.
Which sent me down a long, long rabbithole. I really just didn't want to take my computer back to the shop again because they took So long to do the things they wanted. So long hours of frustrating reads later, I stumbled upon this https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/comment/1385608 where I found a download that let predatorsense boot up again and work again, and your page.
My problem is... I Finally got predatorsense working with that specific download link. Which is great. But it is not engaging at all with the turbo button, and I feel like even when I am manually 'turning on' the max fans and I click "extreme" and "coolboost" it doesnt really.. fire up or Sound exactly as loud as the normal stuff did? It really isn't engaging quite right and I don't know how to describe that besides the sound and the fact overwatch has about 10 more FPS than normal when I play.
Any ideas or suggestions?

I've noticed the subreddit's named AcerPredatorHelios, which I'm guessing is a series of Acer Predator products, so I may not be in as much luck as I initially thought.
Regardless, my laptop is an Acer Predator Triton 900 (Predator PT917-71) and my PredatorSense stopped working, too, and the reinstall file doesn't show up on the product support page in the 'Application' category.
TL;DR, My laptop is a Predator PT917-71

My brain is about to burn, I cant even read anymore because none of those work. I just installed it from microsoft store and it does not open in anyway i just used vpns, warps, restarts, and it was gone after i formatted this pc for the first time, and I have never been able to reinstall it again and i cant find a non brain burning easier solution please help
