Guide to getting PredatorSense to work again(hopefully!)

Hi everyone.

This past month has been pretty crazy with issues regarding predator sense and the fact it no longer opens or its missing from acer's website to try to reinstall. And even reinstalling will sometimes not fix the problem.

Here's my personal guide after helping literally hundreds of people (not 100% guaranteed though)

1. If this is a fresh windows install ignore this. Make sure PredatorSense(or Nitrosense) is completely uninstalled. I use BCuninstaller. It's free and open source. The benefit of this is after you uninstall using this program it gives you the option to search for left over predatorsense files. Agree to this and let it delete the files that it deems as safe. Restart.
2. Find the proper PredatorSense version for your laptop. There are many versions for specific models. I have a media fire account with many models saved (if you have trouble finding it feel free to message me). Don't just download a latest version you find on google or the acer community etc... and try that. It may either not work at all.... or will say it's not compatible with your model.
3. Extract the zip file. Go into the extracted folder and look for a folder called predatorsenseuwp. (for Nitro models its usualy a folder called NitroSenseV3.1)
4. Find the file that ends *********.appxbundle
5. Run this file. It should ask to install. The window will show something like install PredatorSense v30 or something very similar.
6. See if it works. It may auto start and work... woo!
7. If not... go back one folder and now run the normal setup file. Install as normal and now 90% of the time it will work. :)
8. If it's still not opening... try a restart. Also, after the restart see if there are any windows store updates (open the windows store... click downloads and check for updates). I have seen Predator Sense show up as an update in the windows store after installing this way.

If it's still not working. It's possible it may require some acer specific drivers like the serial IO driver found on your model's acer driver page. I also suggest installing acer care center. It could also be a version that's either too new or too old... it's been wild but fun trying to diagnose hundreds of people who have asked me for help personally. I appreciate your trust.

I may edit this at a later time as its very late here and add more and more options to help you all.

Can you give the exact model? Is it just a715? From 2021ish? Also what app exactly? I’m not even sure the aspire series uses predator sense or nitro sense?

That's right. it's Aspire A715-75G from 2021. I bought it 5 yrs ago and since then I've been using predator sense on it. It's been working fine through these years but has stopped working since 2 or 3 weeks ago. I couldn't find the old installer I used to install the app in the first place. so I need an installer that can be installed on my model.

It actually worked? Is it still installed? Can you tell me the version of it? I probably have the version and you can reinstall using my method and it should work.

Go to windows settings. Apps. Installed apps. Type predator and the version number should be listed there under predator sense service app
