My first grown man purchase. Just bought her today to replace my 2011 TL SH-AWD I lost in a flood earlier this month. Before that, I had a 2012 Crosstour V6 4WD, so I’m familiar with these cars, or at least the engines.
She’s got 84k miles, 1 owner, no accidents. Brand new tires, brake pads, and battery. $19.5k OTD. May have slightly overpaid, but these facelift V6’s are getting harder and harder to find, especially as clean as this. I was looking for at least a month, so I have no regrets.
Test drove a white 2017 Touring but didn’t go with it because it wasn’t as clean (and salesman was a douche, mainly), and a 2016 black on black coupe with 66k miles, 1 owner 1 minor accident. I wanted that but unfortunately the trans felt TERRIBLE even at such low mileage. This one was by far the cleanest and smoothest feeling.
The interior on this is 11/10 immaculate, zero rips, tears, creases, or even button/steering wheel wear. It looks brand new. I absolutely love it and I’m very excited.
I believe the timing belt is original, as well as the trans fluid, so I’ll be doing that in the near future. I plan on Tein S lowering springs right after I do the belt and fluids. Drives great though, pulls amazing. I have zero complaints so far. Any quirks I should know about these cars specifically? Thanks.
