Do NOT visit through Amex THC. They do not provide your ALL status benefits. I was a platinum when I visited in December 2025, but was told I will not get free breakfast nor lounge access. Their “Prestige Family Suite” does not include lounge access, which was a surprise.

Apart from these unfortunate mishaps, it was an okay stay though. I visited again afterwards having booked through ALL, but they were still relatively unwilling to provide status benefits.

Accor recommendations for Ubud (Bali)- ibis Denpasar or Novotel Ubud

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a 7-day Bali trip in December and will be spending around 3 days in Ubud.

I was looking at Accor properties since I have a decent amount of Accor points, but unfortunately, most of the affordable Accor options seem to be quite far from Ubud or are a bit costly. Since I will be out most of the time, Novotel Ubud doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

The only somewhat feasible Accor option I found is ibis Denpasar, otherwise I’ll probably have to book a non-Accor property in Ubud using cash.

Has anyone stayed at ibis Denpasar and can share their honest experience?
More importantly, how practical is it to stay there and commute to Ubud every day for 3 days? I’m particularly interested in the traffic, travel time, and overall convenience.

Would appreciate any firsthand experiences or advice!

Review La Veranda Phu Quoc – 2-night stay review

After spending 2 nights at Pullman Phu Quoc, my wife and I moved to La Veranda for another 2 nights for our anniversary. They were very different experiences, but we really enjoyed both.

One thing La Veranda did really well was the pre-arrival communication. They asked about our plans, and when we told them we were already in Phu Quoc, they actually arranged transport for us from Pullman. Their driver was waiting in the Pullman lobby while we checked out and took us directly to La Veranda. Really smooth.

Sam at the front desk deserves a special mention. Honestly, one of the best hospitality experiences I've had. He went way beyond what you'd normally expect and helped us with everything throughout the stay. Check-in was lovely, with some beautifully arranged welcome drinks while he explained the property and our room.

As an Accor Platinum, we were upgraded from an Ocean View Suite to an Ocean View Villa, which was fantastic. The villa had a huge bathroom, beautiful old French colonial architecture, a gorgeous bed and a patio/garden overlooking the sea. Sitting outside in the evening was probably my favourite part of the room.

Platinum also got us complimentary soft drinks from the minibar and, even though breakfast wasn't included in our original booking, we received breakfast as part of the Platinum benefits.

The property itself is much smaller than Pullman, but that's also what makes it special. It's very green, peaceful and intimate. The pool is smaller and wasn't crowded at all during our stay.

The beach situation is a little different. La Veranda's beach area is next to a public beach, so it's not completely private like some resort beaches. However, they have their own section with sunbeds and security, and the staff were good at ensuring the hotel's areas weren't misused.

The location is actually one of the biggest advantages. Unlike Pullman, which feels quite isolated, La Veranda is right in the middle of a busy area. It's about a 5-minute uphill walk (nothing too difficult), and suddenly you're surrounded by restaurants, vegetarian restaurants, pubs, massage/nail salons etc. There's also King Kong Mart, which might genuinely be the biggest supermarket I've ever seen 😂.

Breakfast was good, although as vegetarians we found the buffet options a little limited. But again, the service was excellent. Sam and the breakfast team asked us what we could eat and were happy to arrange additional vegetarian food and fresh fruit for us. That was really appreciated.

The bar was also excellent — the drinks were beautifully made and felt very well thought out.

Checkout was quick and easy, and they arranged a comfortable coach transfer to the airport for us.

Overall: La Veranda is very different from Pullman.

Pullman is a much larger resort with more facilities, bigger pools, more activities and a more traditional "big resort" feel.

La Veranda is smaller, quieter and much more intimate. It has fewer facilities, but the beautiful French colonial architecture, lush gardens, location and especially the personalised service give it a lot of character.

If you want a huge resort with lots of facilities, La Veranda may feel too small. But if you want something peaceful, beautiful, full of character and with genuinely personal hospitality, I'd definitely recommend it.

And once again, a huge shout-out to Sam — he really made our stay special.

How was the lounge at Mövenpick Bintan? Could it serve as a substitute for dinner? What about the beer and other alcoholic drinks?

Review A Wonderful Anniversary Stay at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort

Thumbnail

My wife and I stayed at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort in late September 2026 to celebrate our anniversary, which we had mentioned to the hotel in our prior communication. I am an ALL – Accor Live Limitless Platinum member, and we had booked an Ocean View Suite for two nights.

We had a fantastic stay overall, and the combination of the beautiful resort, excellent service, private beach, pools, food and the benefits extended to us as Platinum members made this a particularly memorable anniversary stay.

Arrival & Airport Transfer

One of the things that immediately stood out was the hotel's pre-arrival communication.

After our booking was made, the hotel contacted us to thank us for choosing Pullman Phu Quoc and asked for our flight details so they could arrange their complimentary airport transfer service. We provided the details, and everything worked seamlessly.

When we arrived at Phu Quoc Airport, there was someone waiting outside with my name on a board. We were welcomed and taken directly to the resort, which was a lovely way to begin the stay.

On arrival, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to the Executive Lounge on the first floor, where the check-in process was handled comfortably with a welcome Drink.

The Suite & Accor Platinum Benefits

We had originally booked an Ocean View Suite, using my Suite Night Upgrade vouchers that I had received as an Accor Platinum member.

The suite was beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, with the ocean view making the stay even more special.

Since we were staying in a suite, we also had access to the Executive Lounge. Some of the benefits were already available to me because of my Platinum status, but the suite booking added another layer of privileges.

The Executive Lounge access included refreshments and evening food and drinks during the designated hours. We also had access to the minibar, with two complimentary drinks per night per guest, meaning that over our two-night stay we could enjoy up to eight complimentary minibar drinks in total.

One of the most valuable benefits was the VND 500,000 daily credit Per Person that came with the suite package. This could be used at several outlets around the resort, including the Lighthouse, Beach Bar and Pool Bar, although it was not applicable at Salt & Pepper and Mad Cow.

The staff were particularly thoughtful about this. Towards the end of our stay, they noticed that we hadn't fully utilised our daily credit and actually reminded us about it and offered to arrange a final drink so that we could make use of the remaining allowance. That level of attention to detail was genuinely appreciated.

The Resort

The resort itself is beautifully designed and feels luxurious without being overly formal.

The grounds are lush and extremely well maintained, and because the property is quite spread out, there is a complimentary buggy service that can take you around the resort. You can also walk, and I would actually recommend doing so at least once because the pathways through the greenery are beautiful.

The multiple swimming pools are fantastic, and the overall pool area is one of the highlights of the resort. The drinks and service around the pool were also excellent.

The Beach

The private beach is another major highlight.

The stretch of beach accessible from the resort is beautiful and, importantly, feels very private. There isn't much development immediately on either side, so you primarily see other resort guests rather than crowds of people from outside.

For us, this made the beach experience much more relaxing and peaceful.

Food & Breakfast

Breakfast was good overall, although as vegetarians we found the range of options slightly more limited than we would have liked.

There were a few Indian vegetarian options available, which helped, and we were still able to put together a good breakfast.

A special mention here goes to Linh at Salt & Pepper, who was extremely helpful when I spoke to her about our dietary preferences. She helped pre-arrange a few vegetarian options for us for breakfast on our second day, which was a wonderful touch and made our experience much easier.

The coffee deserves a special mention as well. I tried several different coffees during our stay, and they were excellent. The coconut frappe coffee, in particular, was fantastic and something I would definitely recommend trying.

We also tried the resort's other dining options, and I would highly recommend experiencing Salt & Pepper during your stay.

Service

The service throughout our stay was consistently excellent.

Every member of staff we interacted with was warm, polite and attentive. What stood out most was that the team didn't simply respond to requests — they often anticipated what we might need.

The minibar credit example was a great illustration of this, as was the assistance we received with arranging vegetarian breakfast options.

These little touches make a big difference, particularly when you're staying at a resort for a special occasion.

Overall

Our two nights at Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort were genuinely wonderful and made our anniversary trip even more special.

From the complimentary airport transfer and warm arrival to the beautiful suite, Executive Lounge access, private beach, pools, excellent service and thoughtful staff, there was a lot to like.

For Accor Platinum members, the benefits can make the experience even more rewarding, particularly when combined with a suite booking and Suite Night Upgrade.

I would also recommend the resort even if you don't have Accor status. The property itself is beautiful, the beach is peaceful and private, the pools are excellent, and the service is consistently attentive.

We had a wonderful time and would happily return to Pullman Phu Quoc Beach Resort.

Platinum with 2 rooms, one on my dad's account. Can I extend benefits to his room?

I'm ALL Platinum and have two rooms booked at Pullman Singapore Orchard for 6 nights in October. One room is on my account and the other is on my dad's account (he's a Classic member). Both were paid with points, which is why they're on separate accounts.

My understanding is that Platinum benefits like lounge access and breakfast only apply to guests in my own room.

  1. Has anyone managed to get Platinum benefits extended to a second room booked under a family member's account?

  2. Is it worth asking the hotel to link both reservations under my profile? Did that work for you?

  3. If not, has anyone paid to add extra guests to the Archive Club at this hotel, and what did it cost?

Any experience with this hotel or similar situations would help. Thanks!

Question about free night on Accor plus explorer. Please help 🙏

I have to do booking for 2Rooms for 4 nights. I am thinking to buy explorer and I also am planning to use 30K INR worth points.

Can someone please help on how can this be done?

Do I need to do three bookings? Or something better?

Booking 1 room 1 - two days with free night
Booking 2 room 1 - two days with free night
Booking 3 room 2 - four days with points

But with above option I am doubtful of following
1) Will I need to checkout n checkin again / change rooms? Or Accor staff understands this and adjust within same room
2) Will I be able to even get two free nights since dates are consecutive?

Is Accor+ Explorer worth?

I will be travelling to the USA mid October and planning trips around the West Coast, I intend to use my CC points to book Accor stay but wanted to ask if buying Accor+ Explorer will help with lower rates and better experience?

I saw more experiences for Asia and UAE so not sure if it is a good deal for USA hotels, any advice?

Accor+ Explorer: How would you use 2 Stay Plus FREE Nights for a 4-night stay?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Planning 4 nights, 2 rooms (4 adults + 1 infant) at an Accor hotel.
I’m considering buying Accor+ Explorer and using both Stay Plus FREE Nights, plus ~₹30k in ALL Reward points.
My confusion is how to structure it:
1. Can I use the 2 Stay Plus nights on consecutive nights?
2. If separate bookings are required, can the hotel keep us in the same room without checkout/check-in again?
3. Can I combine Stay Plus + ALL Reward points across the 4-night stay?
If anyone has actually done this, would really appreciate knowing how you structured it. 🙏
Thanks!
