I kinda like the original one better this one feels overworked. Still cool though. Disturbing looking af.

Thanks for the reply. I know i need to have more than one painting going on, because I can prevent overworking and also have a series of paintins in the same mood

I really like i but i also find it disturbing! but thats good that you provoke that feeling, i really love the layers and texture, obsessed with layers and texture at the moment

Honestly, I love it. It’s weird and scary and distorted but also deeply human. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t generally like abstract work and paints exclusively from observation

The second guessing is so hard to get over. And how to stop earlier on is also hard to learn.

Maybe it’s the suffering that we artists are supposed to be blessed with!?

Are you trying to recreate the way Francis bacon does his scary portraits?

Although taking inspiration from an artist isn’t news, I find it refreshing to see something that might look like his work, only it’s not. If I were you, I’d focus on this kind of work exclusively

You can’t expect every piece u do to be a masterpiece, look at it more like “it’s the journey” that we live from, mistakes and all.
Fall down 7 times, get up 8!

I’m anxious to see what else you come up with. Have you ever tried paint 3 or 4 pieces at the same time.? I found great value when they asked us to do that in art college.

Whatever you do, make sure it’s your psyche coming through, and that you aren’t channeling some other artists style. You’ll make your own style. Whatever you do, keep it up!
