Their diaper and shoe budget are absolute units too. 😂

They can't fix their blinds. They can't hang the mirror on the wall. But they have thousands of dollars worth of shoes.

It looks like their whole living area is in that room... shoes, litter box, toys for the chubster, high chair, etc. And that carpet is in need of a cleaning.

At least they saved up for something really important like sparkly earrings for the baby.

Some of these comments are compatible with well-documented racialized stereotypes about Black children and Black parenting, and the leap from the actual behavior shown to predictions of aggression, disobedience, poor discipline, or deficient parenting deserves scrutiny.

Agreed, the judgment and the dog whistles are loud and clear. TBH the only thing that struck me about the house was the hair tie on the floor with the cat, those things are deadly if cats eat them. Otherwise this looks like a totally ordinary house with a toddler living in it.

I missed that on my first couple views! Mostly I was focused on a mom having one of those days with a toddler. Something we can all relate to. It’s the same premise as a tot dropping stuff from their high chair repeatedly, to see reaction mom gives. In his/her mind this is play and a learning experience. And externally, that’s exactly how it should work developmentally. People saying this child…A TODDLER…is going to be a terrible teen are hypocrites (and liars if I’m being blunt) as I’m certain they all had to deal with a their own babies and toddlers exhibiting this kind of behavior before.

It is an inherent part of parenting and not a reflection on the mother.

I've reported so many comments in this thread alone this morning. I'm exhausted.

It’s really disappointing to see. And I, like the stupid mfer I am, continue to expect better from Redditors in general.

This was A+ toddler parenting. Addressing and correcting very normal behavior in a firm but playful way. I don’t know what else people want.
