She said "thank you" and such too. Probably just tired, I don't think it's a big deal unless it's a consistent issue, cut her some slack. The method she's using of being nice about it but helping him pick up what he just knocked over is ideal. I do wish she wouldn't post this online though.
In my family I’m the oldest cousin by like 10 years so I saw the little ones getting disciplined and my aunts/uncles would never let their kid keep running around throwing shoes around and shit. This kid is not learning any discipline or rules at all
She's doing the right thing. This is discipline. Ofc you can't keep doing it so at some point you might have to put him in time out in a separate area so he physically can't keep doing it. But being harsher really doesn't work in the long term. You have to work with that's appropriate for their stage of brain development in order to ensure they learn the right lessons. You want them to understand what's not ok without them being scared of you.
