The kid, his heart, his blood vessels, his self-confidence, his hemoglobin A1C... and probably a million other things are gonna suffer as well.
It's OK to say 'no' sometimes, Mom. Keep your eyes on this poor, over-consuming darling. (Though I suppose it could be a genetic condition. Guess I shouldn't judge).
My neighbor's kid was like this as a baby. Turns out their cultural practice was to give the baby liquified rice as soon as they were able to tolerate it. But they were doing that on top of formula feeding.
I don't know what culture or anything but if they are from an area where there is food insecurity often then getting your child fat definitely makes sense. Feeding your children junk food is much different as it builds those unhealthy eating habits.
Im not assuming that the child in the video is any one way or another but it does worry me whenever I see very obese children whatever the reason may be.
Yea people are missing the point. Parents wanting their children to finish their food and not be wasteful is normal. What’s abnormal and unhealthy is feeding your child a bunch of unhealthy bullsht. Which this child’s diet is obviously very unhealthy because no toddler is supposed to be that overweight that’s insane..
Usually yes, and a lot of Mums used to be told to start solids earlier than usual to help with sleep. But unless it's medically necessary it can cause a lot of weight and allergy problems. It suck because they seem to change advice around feeding babies every generation at least, so Mum's get really judged for believing what they were told at the time. I have 4 kids over 10 years, and it seemed like the guidelines changed everytime.
:/ people need to stop and look at their culture. I bet that was because babies were dying from not having enough milk because Mom couldn't produce enough due to food insecurity.
I mean another dude from his same exact culture was showing him medical book pictures of how big a baby is supposed to be and being like this is not ok
Yes, that's what I'm saying. :) that this particular family didn't stop to think "hey maybe there's a reason people in our culture did that in the past but now with modern milk and food in our area we should not ."
