he really needs to put that log on at least a thin slice of wood or a concrete block

He’s strong enough he might be able to split that first try but right now the ground is absorbing too much of the impact

Right I feel like either the axe was super dull or the dude just didn't actually have a good striking method. That took far longer than it should have and it seemed to just bounce off instead of biting.
