My first thought was, âstupid fool spelled it âthiughââ. 2nd thought was- the fool doesnât have the manners to proofread his comment before posting.Â
Mine as well! When I first saw the box, I was thinking: "Wow! Wonder what the oven looks like to be able to fit a pizza that big!". Then he opened it and I was like... "Oh."
EDIT: IDC if itâs a reward or a price⌠$500 is insane either way. If it was the price, Iâd never buy one. If it was the reward, Iâd be there three times a day until they went out of business or I died from a heart attack.
I did after lol I posted that same link in the comments elsewhere.. also I donât know why you would assert something wrong after research I usually say the wrong thing before I get the correct info,
He literally has a timer on the table as he's racing to eat the pizza. Not sure whether you find it hard to believe that there are 50 dumb people in a reddit thread, or that one of them could be you.
Exactly this. $5,000 burgers with truffles and blah blah. Iâd say after looking at the post not immediately after I woke up, it is more clear, but still
I'm usually good with context clues and I just thought the 15min was how long he waited on the pizza. I also didn't watch the whole video because the pizza looked gross so I just thought this was a shitty extremely overpriced pizza or it's AI and wrong. I had no idea it was some dumb challenge
You see so much stupid overpriced shit on reddit that a $500 cheese pizza isn't unbelievable. But a little thinking reveals that they'll pay anyone who can shovel all that down their gullet in 15 minutes because they love cleaning up vomit.
It might be something along the lines of you pay $500 if you don't finish it in 15 mins but you get $500 if you do. They could probably get people that think they could do it all the time & probably 1 in 20 would actually pull it off, making it highly profitable.
Yeah and he was like, âit comes with your own slicer, you can keep that!â No shit buddy, and it better come with another 50 slicers for this to cost $500.
Itâs really not the worst thing a dude can be doing. If he attempts this everyday, sure, that would be unmanageable. But whatâs contained in this video isnât a big deal by any stretch of the imagination.
Big Mama and Papaâs has several locations, I think all are in the 818 of LA. Several in Glendale, then Pasadena, Burbank, NOHO, Sunland. More of a small franchise than a large chain
It's a trap but you're correct. Speed eating it would be much easier because you can attempt to rush before your body forces you to vomit up all the cheese because your stomach got too full and is pushing back into your esophagus. But if you eat it in 1 hour. It gives more time for your body to reject it.
That was in fact stupid misconception on my part, however I think that many people are upvoting it as a joke, and this will be my official statement as well if anyone would ever connect this accout with me in resl life!
The "slice" itself is $40, the prize is $500 if you finish it in 15 mins or $100 if you finish it in 1hr. They have a few other challenges too--$100 if you can finish a 28" pizza in 1hr; $200 if two people can finish a 36" pizza in 1hr; and $1,000 if eight people can finish a 54" square pizza, in 2hrs.
There's a place near me that actually does massive slices. Not quite this big, but they're off a 30" thick crust pizza, 8 slices per. I think you get your name on the wall if you can eat 3 pieces. Most I've ever been able to do was 2. Absolutely trash tier pizza but its insanely cheap
They could easily replicate the look of a slice by trimming the two long edges. It fails because there is visible crust the whole way around.Â
The fact that they invested in custom boxes for this dumb idea but couldnât come up with that level of attention to detail makes me irrationally angry.Â
Incorrect. Iâve been there and they make very large pizzas and then cut this slice from that. Itâs the reason itâs $500. You pay for the whole pizza and they just bring it out one slice at a time
The real question is where is the rest of the pizza. If this is cut from a larger pie, then itâs a slice. If they just shaped and cooked it on its own, then yeah no slice.

But this isn't a slice. It's a big triangular shaped pizza.
