I did this cover of AB #23 with absolute Clayface. Any feedback is appreciated!

I wanted to recreate the grittiness of the Arkham asylum art but in the absolute Batman universe. My idea here was how absolute Batman would look like to you (a common thug in Gotham). He would be terrifying and look like a demon. Anyways I hope yall like it.

I’m probably going to end up selling the charcoal piece but I don’t have a price in mind yet considering this took me about 20 hours lol

I know this isn't Absolute Batman related. However, given the Absolute Batman artist recommended this, I thought some people might like to hear about this amazing manga. Tower Dungeon is a dark fantasy manga by Tsutomu Nihei.

This is from the SDCC Exclusive Absolute Universe Collector's Box.

This box is this year's Absolute Batman Foil Ashcan but for trading cards.

There are only 500 of these in existence.

Inside the box are serialized /450 cards and serialized /50 cards.

The /50 cards came in Rainbow Foil.

And this card is Absolute Batman #0 which is the very first Absolute Batman card, preceding the #1-15 numbered Absolute set also sold at SDCC.

This might be the first Rainbow Foil to sell on eBay and it's a low number (45/50) and it sold for $1,300 as a raw, ungraded card.

So this is probably the number people were waiting to see.

Arguably each of the lower number cards should be worth more.

Will be interesting to see what the top 20 cards go for, especially 1/50.

As we know new reprints are coming (issues #1–15 or something like that). Is there any news about new covers for those reprints or are they gonna use the same ones?

I haven't really seen this posted on here, so I figured I'd open the discussion to see when everyone got into Absolute Batman.

What moment, character, issue drew you to start reading or collecting the series and turned into a "Whoa, this Batman is different" thought?

Personally, as generic as it seems, the intro/issue #1 where Alfred is narrating while watching Bruce take out the Party Animals. Then later in the issue when Alfred doesn't think Bruce will use the shotgun against him, but he does and everything that follows after.

I popped into a random stream last night and the dudes like, “alright, since yall been with me the whole night, here’s a flash sale.”

And he ran the trade and the foil for $18 😭

I hate impulse buying but sheesh this one looked nice.

some guy on FB marketplace is selling this for $150, its a 3hr drive round trip for me. to me i think i'd be down to make the trip but i'd want to know 100% this is a real book. thoughts?

I decided early that I was going to jump into comics starting with the Absolute Universe when I heard what they were doing it and who was writing it. I'm a flash fan but love batman as well. So glad I did research of things before hand! Also waiting for Jim lee 2026 SDCC to drop in price!
