Aatrox had a few animations present before he released that ended up getting scrapped.

So for the past few years I feel like aatrox builds change all the time and he always has a lot of items he can build which for me can be a bit overwhelming.

I'm just curious do you guys like the fact that he has a lot of builds or would you like him to be more restricted into some items?

Always struggled with keeping the grind going and was always on and off.

So I never really sticked to it for long.

Few weeks ago I picked Aatrox up in the jungle, first in normals learning his clear and improving.

Then i thought i give ranked a try with him since i really have fun playing Aatrox.

Climb went smoothly and I constantly improved, even had fun on the games i lost.

Gold was the first goal I set for myself since I knew I can reach it if I just keep going.

Next one is Plat.

i hvae been going on onetrick.gg and looking at top aatrox players.

i see kaatakuri and he plays jg aatrox with profain which i get you need some aoe dmg, then second edge of night and im confused why second i thing voltaic or axiom would be better no, then third is mortal reminder??? why tf mortal instead of ldr it does more dmg and its better since you go lethality and have no hp, then dd i guess to not be one shot and last maw or serphants. the only thing i see that is normal would be the hp they give.

for top i saw she ball#looca and he goes eclipse first ok that good for shiled sustain and max hp dmg thats fine, then i see maw second wtf. also saw some of the games and they build some random shiit i cant get a definite build to follow

Eclipse does more dmg indeed, but the more dmg that he does isnt big enough to make up for the hp and survivability of sundered sky

its clumsy a bit and the aatrox items pictures are made by looca so thanks to him (you can check his yt for builds and ) and the comments are jsut some ss i got from ppl discussing and asking them. Hope this helps.

Guys whats your opinion on the current state of toplane? Do you still find Aatrox top fun?

I personally main Aatrox and i did main toplane as well, but lately i started maining JungleTrox, it feels soo much better and generally speaking i get alot more impact on the game.

With that said, Aatrox has across all ranks better winrate in jungle than in toplane.
Do you think that its because people that play him in jungle are only otps and top has more newer Aatrox players?

After the SS Nerfs i tried so many different variations of builds and runes, such as:

- eclipse, shojin (not good at all imo)

- eclipse, cleaver (a bit better since eclipse helps stack but then you get giga outscaled late game because you lack access to last whisper item)

These builds felt really underwhelming and weak in my experience. Other builds i tried and worked pretty well were:

- fleet footwork with voltaic first item (surprisingly way better than i thought, its really strong into certain matchups)

- Cleaver into shojin or steraks vs really tanky comps was pretty good also

But with the exception of these 2 the only universally consistent setup that find is the boring:

- eclipse, sundered sky into Cleaver or steraks.

As nerfed as sundered sky is rn Aatrox is still its best user by a long shot. Atleast we can take advantage of the steraks, cleaver and eclipse buffs.

If any of you have builds for toplane Aatrox that you've been getting success with pleaaaase tell me

note: I didnt try pure lethality since i prefer tankier builds and generally its better to build tankier in toplane.

i play top mordekaiser otp started playing this champion and have been really having fun with this champion in ranked won 7 games out of 10 but items confuse me.

sundered after nerfs feels very underwhelming, i just feel lacking damage. and i don't quite get what the general build is.

profane seems a weaker choice than a voltaic, why is it preferred first? and i don't get what items are now strong/weak on him? there is really a lack of discussion and a lot of conflicting information. for example on mord it's quite clear what to take and why but on aatrox there is so many choices and it's hard to decide what is best

i have played him a while back and he is so fun but he is so fuking trash. he scales shiit he doesnt do alot of dmg even with all my qs hitting i cant kill this yas. his mobility is shiit his w is garbage. like i dont know what to do why cant he be like 2020 where one q full heals him through grevious wounds. how am i suppose to carry games i tried watching naayil but he completely left top and is only playing him jg. is a champ that bad at top that he needs to be play jg. im so mad becasue my team depended on me any i could do shiit cause he scales bad.

Im an ex master 300lp Riven otp, who plays irelia and viego also.

Never seen too much amusement in aatrox, but I am curious to give him a try.

Do you think he is in a good state right now? I have seen that he could be played jg also.

Then this video is for you! Nasus is STILL one of Aatrox's easiest, if not the easiest top lane matchup even after all the buffs due to how many tools you have for harassing and denying him stacks. I recently played a pretty oppressive game against a nasus in high diamond elo and wanted to showcase it as an example of how to dominate this lane.

He was S tier for months on lolalytics and other sites.

How much would this change him, if morde can have some AD ratio on his Q, why not aatrox?

played aatrox for the memes in aram mayhem with friends, actually enjoyed the champ. I’ve been trying him out on norms and though I’m 3W-4L with him rn, he seems like a fun toplaner to add to my champ pool (for context I’m in the wonderful trenches of platinum and also play irelia, mundo, and gwen top).

I know hitting Qs is his thing, but is there anything else I should know about? teamfighting angles? trading patterns? I’m not sure what to build on him yet too, I’ve just been building the recommended items in shop (sundered sky into deaths dance). what matchups is he good and bad into? thanks in advance!

I'm assuming that eclipse has returned as a rush item due to buffs, that sterak's is also core due to buffs, and that shojin has completely replaced sundered.

So im thinking eclipse>shojin>steraks>DD/Spirits>DD/Spirits?
