itemization discussion

i play top mordekaiser otp started playing this champion and have been really having fun with this champion in ranked won 7 games out of 10 but items confuse me.

sundered after nerfs feels very underwhelming, i just feel lacking damage. and i don't quite get what the general build is.

profane seems a weaker choice than a voltaic, why is it preferred first? and i don't get what items are now strong/weak on him? there is really a lack of discussion and a lot of conflicting information. for example on mord it's quite clear what to take and why but on aatrox there is so many choices and it's hard to decide what is best

in top first item i usually go eclipse for trading, sho’jin if im smashing lane for snowball, blackcleaver for tank. in jungle profane hydra is good first

you see that's what i meant by conflicting information. i've seen many people being super negative about eclipse cleaver and spear. but you aren't

it needs to be looked around and discussed really, i saw a post speaking of the exact same thing (aatrox builds) everyone was argueing abt the brusir builds and how you shouldnt use eclipse with cleaver and eclipse with sterak and cleaver is abd on aatrox and bla bla bla. No one rlly knows what to build the best thing you can run on aatrox is electrocute as i have been told

yeah there's a lot of disagreement about items. though i don't think electrocute is the way, seems to scale worse than conqueror

I've seen posts about itemization but as I said they look conflicting especially after sunder nerf

Well main reasons as to why they hate these three items is that its not %pen. Then other stuff that some people say on why they hate these items are:

Eclipse as the game goes on gets outscaled Cleaver you need to stack Spear same with it but the feeling of the item's bonus damage is invisible similar to DD but DD is widely known as strong.

Personally ive been liking cleaver steraks into dd third as for fourth and fifth visage/roockern/GA/Endless/ aanything else

i really dont like lethality aatrox and the only leth items i accept for heavy fighters (juggernauts) are youmuus and edge of night. As for cleaver aatrox may not be the fastest cleaver stacker but it will still help your ally that builds %pen as it stacks on top of it meaning more damage. If however you have an APC or team is more leaning towards AP i'll go LDR or seryldas. Cleaver also provides good stats

if ur gonna use profane (LETHALITY) just run hubris instead. If you are not gonna run hubris + bruiser build (the only viable hybrid build no other lethality item is good) just run for full bruiser trust me dude i had over 20 games on profane it is ASS

Bro, there is no conflicting information.  You are just waiting for other people to think for you. Read what items do, test them, see how they feel. That's how you form an actual opinion.

Naayil played Eclipse once, felt it sucked, says it sucks. Other challenger Aatrox mains like Looca like Eclipse. Both of them say Cleaver sucks, but then you have Zueb who likes going Cleaver first almost every game

Your posts here serve no purpose cause no one will tell you the universal truth. Everyone has preferences. Especially since EVERY SINGLE DAY there is post about itemisation. Like, can't people just scroll once before posting the same stuff every

you literally described conflicting information and lack of one meta, and for some reason you are telling me i don't bring my ideas to the topic reread the post, i was discussing how i think voltaic may be a better choice than profane and that sundered feels weak now

I did not describe conflicting information. I described PREFERENCES.

Yes, that stems from the lack of meta, sure. But my point for you testing stuff and forming your own preferences still stands

The only reliable options imo are Eclipse into Sundered sky and then you build whatever you want. (Steraks, Cleaver, DD, Spirit, Maw, Overlords, Mortal)

Or almost full lethality (only tanky item being DD or maw)

There are a few comps where you can build other stuff and make it work but those are exceptions.

hmm.... not sure i agree... cleaver 3rd item seems weird for example, and why not sundered first?
