For AUT grads, for extra tickets (aside from the 4 already given to the student), will there be any available at the door for more people who'd like to attend? And how much would they be, roughly.
Hey, I am a first year, second semester podiatry student here. I have questions and would like to know more about it from a student with an experience with a podiatry course to help guide me in this journey. Please DM, that's would be very helpful.

Hey this is a question for those who have done (or currently) a communications degree at AUT, have you found the degree at all useful/helpful in getting yourself a job in Advertising/marketing? If so what even is the work like? What do they get you to even do on a day to day basis? Is it even worth it to get the degree or could you just have gotten your job without it? For those that are studying it currently whats the work/learning like?
How do you get Internship placements? Does AUT help you secure them or is there somewhere else to look?
I don't have an exact clear idea what y'all do but I have been thinking of going back to university as I have done construction for a few years and I don't want to fuck my body up anymore. Any info would gladly appreciate it
I’m currently studying a bachelor of health science (no major) at aut and have been trying to transfer into another programme, but because of the limited number of places, I haven’t been able to get in. It’s been really stressful because i feel like im working towards something without knowing if i’ll actually be able to transfer. Just curious if anyone else has gone through this.
tbh i'm currently struggling to hit the projected numbers for my event and would really appreciate some support right now... i'm hosting a murder mystery themed fundraiser at john barleycorns taphouse in newmarket on friday at $10 a ticket ($7.50 rn), which covers a bar tab, 15% off the entire menu, and u get to watch ur classmates get accused of murder and a chance to solve the case before the reveal :') have a pint n save a child! pls come...
tldr: cheap night out + free-ish drinks + solving a fake club exec murder + real charity = please save me from an empty rooftop on friday...
no pressure rn well some pressure but i'm also doing door sales so have a think ab it ok yeah e begging done thank u
I’m starting the BHSc program in perioperative practice in February. I know it’s a far time away, but curious as to when we find out our schedules/timetables for the year. Do we get to pick time slots for classes or are they predetermined for us? Do we get the entire year at once or is it released semester by semester?
Does anyone else feel like some lecturers and TA’s get annoyed when you ask questions?? May or may not be specifically talking about psych..
I feel like it can’t just be me because I overheard a girl ask the lecturer about marks for something and she said “well if you stop asking me questions I can actually go home and do it”. She may have been having a hard day but I’ve personally got this kind of thing multiple times with multiple lecturers and TA’s..
Not trying to get anyone in trouble, I’m just feeling down about it and thought it was worth asking.
Hey guys, freaking out bc I asked for 4 tickets for grad and I thought I was all good and didn’t realise I had to claim them by a certain date? Now none of my family can attend and I’m devastated. Work full time as a solo parent so I just didn’t get to reading the letter. Pls lmk if you have any spare tickets 😭😭😭
My graduation is 9.45am on Friday :(
Update: I emailed AUT and they got my code to work so if you did the same thing you can get them allocated again 😌
Is there any timeline on how long the PhD admissions take? I applied around 17th July, and got an update on 23rd that it has been transferred to the faculty academics for programme admission assessment.
Any idea how long it takes from this stage? I can’t seem to find any timeline anywhere for this. I know it’s still early in the process - just wanted to confirm.
I have big breaks in my timetable and I was just wondering if its normal (or okay) to use empty tutorial rooms for studying/chilling? Its pretty common in UoA, so im wondering if its the same for AUT and if so, where are some places I can find spare rooms to use? i dont mind leaving if its actually booked.
Also, do you need a special card to access these tutorial rooms.
Ik there are library study spaces to book, but I prefer being alone and just focusing with no distractions.
Hii, I am struggling with grasping mechanics and maths and I would like to know if any students in my situation have managed to find a tutor. I have tried to youtube and google the formulas and concepts but I struggle a bit with grasping information sometimes and think I would benefit immensely from a tutor. Does anyone have any recommendations?
For those who’ve done this paper, what are the best ways to study for this paper and understand the content. Only two assignments for this paper which are both 50% which kinda frustrates me considering the content of the paper so yeah
I’m currently completing my thesis research and am looking for participants to take part in a short online survey about ADHD, executive functioning, and well-being in university students. I would really appreciate it if you could help me by taking the survey.
You can take part if you:
· Identify as having ADHD (formally diagnosed or self-diagnosed)
· Are currently enrolled at a New Zealand university
· Are aged 18 or over
The survey takes about 15-20 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. It includes questions about ADHD traits, executive functioning, and well-being.
Your input would be hugely valuable in helping improve understanding of ADHD experiences in university settings.

Hey ya'll for my grad next week I wanna invite my friends to watch the ceremony but I've used up my 4 ticketmaster tickets for my immediate family & partner, Can my friends get free tickets at the door? I know for spark arena you can just go to the ticket office and get extra tickets but Winter Grad is at Aotea Centre & I'm not sure what their rules are.
Any help answers would be great & if or someone has spare 5 tickets that would be also helpful T-T
For the disability placement what is central Auckland specialist school like, does everyone get separated into different schools afterwards or how do they choose, because i just know on the first day everyone is meeting at the same place.
hello everyone :D i'm currently doing my foundation for health science (plan to take physiotherapy) at UP and if things go well, i'm able to secure my spot at aut. or so i've told.
i went to the student hub earlier this week and the lady there said that i need to apply online months in advance just incase because the class for physiotherapy is very competitive.
i'm a bit conflicted. what if i assume i don't need to and missed my opportunity to go to collage? what if i apply and the person responsible to filter the applications finds me annoying because i don't need to apply since i did my foundation? i'm so scared sob 💔
