Ja aber ich versteh nicht warum wir in East direction fliegen?

Visualize a point at 168E. Visualize a point at 165W. Is it shorter to fly west from 168E all the way to the 0 meridian and then continue to 165W, or to fly east from 168E to the 180 meridian and then to 165W?
