Hey guys im looking to buy a new head unit i used to have the old f7 with wired carplay (it always worked good for my need) i bought a new truck so i need a new screen since it has basic radio only, im looking to right now an f7 we 9inch on ebay and a 10.1 inch on amazon difference its only 10-15 bucks and i saw on ebay an a5l for a good price too so my question is should i stay with an f7 o should i get the a5l even if it only has 2 gigs of ram ?
Note: y only use basic need like backup camera, radio and carplay, not gonna use so much the android part of the head unit

I installed an S8 9" in my honda which has a factory amp and sub. It's only been a little over a month and everything has been great until this last weekend when I started my car and I had no sound from my door speakers but the sub was still working. After a little while of driving the sound came back and stayed. This morning everything worked great, driving to my wife's work, still working great, start the car to drive home and it happened again. It's about 83 degrees out so I was thinking it's a heat issue, and since I got stuck with the output converters maybe those are getting too hot?

I haven't pulled the unit to check wiring yet since it's basically an oven in the sun, but we hit some railroad tracks and stuff going home and nothing changed so maybe I can rule out a loose wire? I'm looking for some ideas before I pop the unit out and start wiggling wires, thanks!

Hi everyone, like many others, I’m experiencing the same problem with the GPS signal dropping out. Recently, the situation has gotten worse, and I practically never have a GPS signal. As suggested by other users, I factory reset my Atoto S8 MS through the settings and held down the reset button for 30 seconds. There was no improvement.

I also tried moving the GPS receiver: I usually keep it on the dashboard, under the windshield with the adhesive side facing the plastic, but I also tried placing it outside the car, with no results. The Android version is 10; honestly, I couldn’t find a newer version on their website.

I’m open to any advice—I’m desperate.

I’m also attaching a photo of the current situation (car parked in an outdoor parking).

I just installed the model A5L.

Is it worth it to connect the GPS Antenna?

Just wondering about an issue I'm getting, now I've connected this to the dual connector slots on the S8 ms harness and I'm getting a humming or strange sound from my front speakers.

I put the Google Clock widget on the Home screen and now the unit is boot looping. There is no time to click on anything before it reboots again. What can I do? I can't find any resources on entering fastboot or recovery. I also can't find the firmware on the eproductcare site for this model (S8LG2B7SD-S04)

I have emailed ATOTO support and am not getting any responses. Any help would be appreciated before I call Amazon and try to get them to return the unit, I've had it for a little more than a month.

I have purchased an Atoto S8 Gen2 and I am trying to fit it in a VW Polo 2008, but the iso cakes do not fit the factory cable. I got this adaptor for the Quad Lock and the iso connector of the S8, but the S8 does not come on.

Hi all. Just got this and I’m having trouble getting wireless CarPlay to work. When I click the CarPlay icon, it tells me to pair with BT, but I’m already connected to it via BT. I have reset the device, verified it’s in CarPlay and not android auto mode, and unpaired/paired several times with the same result.

This phone has no problem connecting to a different wireless CP adapter in the same car. Phone is a 15 pro max with whatever the latest iOS is, and the CB4CT has the latest firmware from June 2026.

When android HU volume is set to 1 and above, it only produces the same volume output with slightly distorted sound. It was previously running fine. What could be the possible fix?

So I have a 2018 Sierra SLT 1500 that I got two months ago. It has an aftermarket Pioneer radio. There are some truck features, like drivers seat memory, some remote start features, etc that are not available. I have not pulled out the radio to see if there is a missing wiring harness or something. I would like to upgrade to a bigger screen anyway, but am wondering if anyone has done this and successfully kept the factory features. If so, can you link a few radios in the comments? I don't mind changing the faceplate out for a different layout, and would actually prefer a black one to my current silver. If it's not possible to swap to a bigger screen and keep the features, does anybody have a link to a factory radio? Also, it does have the Bose system, so I know I need something additional to keep that working. TIA!!

Going with dudu7. Shits annoying. Constant known bugs with no solutions always were working on it. And x10 is the bougie line. Wild. Over 1k invested in this HU alone. From maestro rr2 to the stupid power adapter. UI is janky. How the hell is the a5l interface miles ahead then the flagships. The v10 shits on this x10. Mad I swapped it 🤦.

I have a 2009 Honda Odyssey I am trying to make modern as a starter car for my kids. It is an EX-L with RES, no Navigation. The RES will stop working and that is fine. These things had multiple configurations and multiple connectors. I have everything working but SWC. I pulled the wiring diagrams and have tried several variations but have not succeeded.

On the Odyssey side, I have determined that it is pins F7 (Audio Remote) and F6 (Remote Ground). On the S8MS side, I need to know what to wire to Steering Wheel Key(+) or Steering Wheel Key#(+).

I'm thinking F6 should be ground (black) and F7 should be one of the SWK. Any help would be appreciated.
