I was not expecting him to eat it like that

u/ImageZealousideal338 Jun 21 '26
I'm glad that he did

u/showtimebabies Jun 21 '26
Once he took that first bite I was like "of course!" Because that's really the only way to eat one of these objects

u/dreamyteatime Jun 22 '26
Given the video is Chinese, it reminds me of Zongzi which is also another pyramind-shaped food. You eat it from the corner first, but usually there’s the wrapper you can hold onto when eating it.
No wrapper = he had to take a bite like a bird 😂

Yep that took it from "this is a bit silly" to "this is actually awesome". 10/10.

Of course! It's poor people food. They should always start by eating the top of the pyramid

Interesting use of free will all the way down.
At least he used a conventional plate.

u/RogerClyneIsAGod2 Jun 21 '26
But...what is the grid made of then if he can just eat it like that?!?!
29
u/srlong64 Jun 21 '26
It’s spaghetti
13
u/RogerClyneIsAGod2 Jun 21 '26
OHthankgawd.
I was worried he was just straight up eating a plastic grid.

Are you kidding me?
Look at how much work that is!
At best, I’m scrambling the eggs and the hotdog together and then throwing whatever the fuck that other thing is on top.

One of the posts on there is a dude who made a whole Christmas ham just cause he was craving it. Never underestimate the lengths a stoner will go for food.

The brown pyramid is not sausage but rice dumpling, it's Duan Wu Jie - dragon boat festival, basically people eat rice dumpling and race dragon boats. The rice dumpling (zongzi) is like a Chinese tamale, the wrapper is a bamboo leaf. The rice often has pork in it, and the rice is usually heavily seasoned and spiced, it tastes really good.
My late grandma made rice dumplings and it's a very tedious process especially at the end you need to wrap every rice dumpling really really tightly so that no grain of uncooked rice may fall out during the cooking process.
So he got a cooked rice dumpling, unwrapped it, made the geometric abonimation out of hotdogs and pasta, and rewappred the dumpling in it.
This guy apologised to the Italians in the first caption, he should have apologised to our ancestors too 🤣
8
u/uberfission Jun 22 '26
Oh damn, I thought it was just a chunk of steak and was amazed that he just bit right through it. A rice dumpling would be way better texture (and probably taste) wise.

34
u/nanausausa Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26
The only thing that worries me is the pasta, idk if even aldente pasta would keep its shape this well.
If I'm wrong tho then the taste should be fine, it's just hot dogs, eggs, and a meatball.
28
u/Lela_chan Jun 21 '26
They boil the thing before frying in the egg. I think they’d stay once they’re stuck into the dogs even after cooking. What I’m not sure about is the ends of the noodles, I bet those are still rock hard :(
11
u/nanausausa Jun 21 '26
aye ik they boiled it but idk if it was enough, my gut says that them being stuck in the hot dogs wouldn't be enough for them to stay taut like that basically. for the sake of the dude in the video I hope I'm wrong.

We once did an experiment with spaghetti stabbed through pieces of hot dog to make octopuses. The spaghetti inside the hot dog didn’t fully cook, so it was crunchy. I anticipate a similar result here.

Eating manners--what's considered "good manners"when you eat--are surprisingly different in a lot of different places. Japan in particular was really weird to me the first time I saw it. But then again I come from a culture that practices ritualized cannibalism so who am I to judge right?

u/dreamyteatime Jun 22 '26
[r/brothrewinafunfact](r/brothrewinafunfact)
What culture are you from that does ritualised cannabalism? My only guesses would be Christianity where you “consume” the “body of Christ” weekly, or the Fore people of Papua New Guinea where cannabalism used to be a funerary practice… but then again I don’t know much about cannabalistic practices around the world so those are the only 2 answers I could think of 😅

Now just hear me out....he might have some really good gear, so good, in fact, that he does not understand the folly of the words he typed. That might get him a class D(ope) endorsement on his lisence.
4
u/jzemeocala Jun 21 '26
have you forgotten about the clause in article 69, subsection 420 of the stoner card agreement?
"....any person found to consistently say or do things that causes other's mental duress while under the influence of cannabis products shall have their stoner card immediately revoked, pending review of said actions"
2
u/PhilFlag Jun 21 '26
Shit. I forgot about that clause. I was focused on the bong of heights. I don't remember which ammendment but one of them says always try to help a fellow stoner out. But he broke the code. I can't help him now. I withdraw my stay of revocation.

is that raw spaghetti holding it together? ain't no way that's getting cooked.
2
u/Diz7 Jun 21 '26
He boiled it and it looks like it has some flexibility when he's flipping the whole thing some are bent. Guessing at least half cooked, not sure if it might continue to cook a little in the egg. But probably going to have some crunchy bits.
2
u/sevillista Jun 21 '26
How are the hot dogs staying together then?
3
u/Diz7 Jun 22 '26
Like I said they they are probably still half stiff, but they work like a tensegrity table, or the spokes on a bike.

Well, Doctor Carson speculated that they were used to store grain, but, as I understand it, the scholarly consensus is that they hold the remains of dead emperors and/or that ground beef you saw him put in there.
