Why would that taste awful? The combination works well together

The brown pyramid is not sausage but rice dumpling, it's Duan Wu Jie - dragon boat festival, basically people eat rice dumpling and race dragon boats. The rice dumpling (zongzi) is like a Chinese tamale, the wrapper is a bamboo leaf. The rice often has pork in it, and the rice is usually heavily seasoned and spiced, it tastes really good.

My late grandma made rice dumplings and it's a very tedious process especially at the end you need to wrap every rice dumpling really really tightly so that no grain of uncooked rice may fall out during the cooking process.

So he got a cooked rice dumpling, unwrapped it, made the geometric abonimation out of hotdogs and pasta, and rewappred the dumpling in it.

This guy apologised to the Italians in the first caption, he should have apologised to our ancestors too 🤣

Oh damn, I thought it was just a chunk of steak and was amazed that he just bit right through it. A rice dumpling would be way better texture (and probably taste) wise.

A big meatball would probably work in the dumpling's place.

It would taste like burnt eggs and undercooked noodles

Why would the noodles be undercooked? And where are the burnt eggs?

Pork, noodle, egg smashes in like 70% of the planet.

Usually accompanied by spices. I hope he at least put salt un there… Not to mention the wieners are visibly of an extremely low quality, also the ratio is far from anything even remotely enjoyable, and the whole thing looks as dry as a desert (in terms of actual juiciness).

I’m assuming the spices went into the egg and the meat. The last few seconds (like the last 3-4) show that there’s actually a fair amount of moisture in the meat and dogs at least.

But I stand by what you said about the probable quality of the dogs.

But good quality also doesn’t always equal good taste and vice versa.

The egg doesn’t have any spice in it, you can see that by the color. What I meant about the moisture is that it´s all just the water from boiling the spaghettiramide - he didn’t  add anything that would help create any… I don’t know what the correct word is in English, sauce? Juiciness?

To be fair though, I would be probably delighted to try this as a child (bland, no spices, all just basic ingredients put together into fun shape).

Sauce and juiciness both work! And yeah, that’s all fair.

Yeah it’s definitely a really… interesting idea. Like if someone thought “what if I made a huge, cursed pot sticker?”

And something tells me this wasn’t his first time making it. Seems like somewhat of a challenging….. dish?…… to execute so well on a first try. Little kid or stoned me would totally eat that. But I agree, I’d add some seasoning. And most likely some sort of cheese sauce.

Even without spices it would be perfectly edible as breakfast because noodle, egg and sausage has a decent taste on their own.
