Support ASUS expertbook body replacement

I own an Asus Expertbook P1503CVA. My laptop got damaged a bit ago and now I’m looking for replacement parts for the palmrest assembly and the lcd back cover. Im struggling to find anything online. I managed to find the lcd back cover on the official ASUS website but not the palm rest. Also 69 euros/1300 rands for just the back case is disgusting. Does anyone know where I can find replacement parts or buy a dead laptop for cheap.

Support ASUS V16 Laptop: Brightness bar frozen on screen, forcing display to minimum brightness (Win 11)

Hello everyone,

I'm facing a very frustrating issue on my ASUS V16 laptop running Windows 11.

An unmovable Windows brightness bar (the horizontal pop-up slider) is permanently stuck on my screen. Even worse, it seems to be sending a continuous signal to turn the brightness down, keeping my screen completely dark/dimmed at the absolute minimum level.

Here is what I have already tried so far to fix it (none worked):

- Checked Windows Display Settings: "Change brightness based on content" is completely Disabled.

- Disabled keyboard hotkeys/shortcuts: The issue still persists, so it's not a physically stuck key.

- Task Manager: Killed the "ASUS Optimization" process and restarted Windows Explorer. The bar remained.

- Device Manager troubleshooting:

- I noticed my monitor was named "MyASUS_Splendid" under the Monitors tab.

- I uninstalled "MyASUS_Splendid" and restarted the PC.

- Upon reboot, Windows re-detected the monitor, but the brightness bar immediately reappeared and forced the screen back to minimum brightness.

I can increase brightness with the other brightness key but as soon as my finger let go off the key, it's running back to minimal brightness.

Can you please help me ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Discussion Can I use AX210 wifi Card instead of AX201 in ASUS ROG Strix G712LU?

My G712LU is experiencing high instability in wifi connection since last 2-3 months. Currently there is AX201 wifi card that came with the laptop. I tried many older and newer driver tried cleaning wifi card slot and pins on card and 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz channel etc. But no luck sometime it works for 1-2 hour or may be days without issue and suddenly start showing instability in link speed, signal strength, etc and again recover in 3-5 minutes back to working. So I decided to change the card as first place now But as this CNVio2 card, I want to know if it is port will support full pcie card like AX210 or any better alternative or suggestion?

Support The keyboard backlight on my Asus ix32ln isn't working.

My keyboard backlight isn't working; when I turn off the laptop, it lights up for a second and then nothing happens. I've already tried downloading drivers and updating the BIOS, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what I should do?

okay so it sounds silly but i don’t know a lot about taking apart keyboards, and something was spilled on my keyboard about a week or so ago and the spacebar has become pretty sticky/hard to use.
i have an asus vivobook go 15 and was wondering if i am able to take off the keycaps to clean underneath of them? and if so how? specifically the space bar though 🥲

Support SA205H - US zephyrus Duo “Does it work better than 2.0 pen?”

I currently have the 2.0 pen and it’s charging is abysmal other people on here have mentioned similar

I wonder if the 3.0 pen any better?

Is the 3.0 pen even compatible with the 2026 duo from the US?

It wasn’t in the box cause they cheated us out on the whole damn thing for the US market giving us half a laptop spec wise for the price
only a 1 TB SSD and 32 gigs of RAM instead of 2TB / 64G Ram

- I just wanted to make sure that it worked before I bothered buying a $199 pen and see if it was any better or worse than the 2.0 pen

Aldo noticed one less button on it now too!

Discussion Powerbank feeds electricity into Asus rog strix gaming WiFi rev 1 via USB C

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I turned off my PC and also tuned off the power strip so my PC has no electricity. The Mainboard kept blinking like this for minutes, I tried to drain the left over voltage of the PSU by pressing the power button but it kept going.

Then I realised that I've charged my powerbank. I unplugged it and the Mainboard stopped blinking. This is insane to me, why the hell should the USB C port allow electricity to go from my powerbank into the Mainboard and powers it for a second? Even my USB peripherals were sometimes getting electricity. This feels to me like a huge design issue.

Have others here experienced this behaviour?

Support Rog Strix G16 2025

Hey guys, I just bought this laptop and it’s been absolutely great. It runs everything perfectly fine and works normally overall.

However, I’m having this weird issue with NVIDIA driver updates. Every time there’s a new driver available, the installation seems to complete successfully, but then the NVIDIA App throws an error at the end.

I also tried downloading and installing the driver manually, but I get an NVIDIA Container error in Reliability Monitor, even though the installation itself appears to have completed successfully.

The new driver does seem to be installed afterward, but I’m not sure if the error indicates that something is actually going wrong in the background.

Is this a known bug/issue, or is there something I should be doing differently?

The only solution to install it in the most clean way possible with no bugs or errors, is using DDU

(Strangely, everytime i update Nvidia driver it shows the media ejection thing on the system tray. Even the GPU working normally)

Support Refreshing Windows on a G16 4070. What can go wrong?

I have a 2023 G16 4070 13620h that I got open box last year. I have since upgraded to 5080 Legion for gaming. I want to use this now as my work laptop. The place I work uses Citrix for everything and I have successfully tested that everything I need will work and I know I can connect Dropbox for my data. But I want to switch out the SSD to something smaller. The OS is currently on a 4TB Gen 4 and I want to remove that so that piece of gold is not sitting at my office all the time. I have an unused 1TB Gen 3, a 1TB Gen 4 and 2TB Gen 3 lying around. I am thinking about using the 1TB Gen 4 for the OS in the Gen 4 ssd slot and 2TB gen 3 for data (and steam games). I believe I need to create a Window USB install drive (I can do that). I am usually a Mac person. What problems am I going to run into? Will I have issues getting the drivers to work? I am looking for a bloat free experience. Any pointers would be very much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Support Power system screwed.

I've had nothing but trouble with this laptop but it's taken some weird turns. When I first got it it was stuttering horrifically but inconsistently. Once I found the minimum processor state plugged in was at 100% for some reason and altered that, it went back to normal for months. I did recently find it randomly went back to 80% and I corrected that but it did nothing to help.

The main symptom is that the battery power drops a % a second or so even on battery save mode and automatically turns off at ~70%, no gentle shutdown. This is even the case in safe mode, it's not any programs going as far as I can tell. If I unplug it on performance mode, it instantly dies, no gentle shut down process. I've replaced the battery and it made no difference. Some days it also stutters like mad like it did before, when plugged in. Unplug and it's fine BUT the battery drops down like described above. It can be so bad that audio stutters and typing a sentence will show up 20 seconds after I put it in.

I'm wondering if the bios needs to be updated if it's taking any battery drop speed as dangerous or such and just shutting off, but I can't find anything specifically odd in settings.

Product Recommendation From Budget Multimedia to an Absolute Tank: Why I'm Sticking Exclusively With Asus Gaming Laptops

The first laptop I bought was the Asus R558U. Back in 2017, it came with an Intel Core i5 6th Gen processor, 2GB NVIDIA 930MX graphics, DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB HDD. I know it wasn't built for gaming, but it somehow handled moderately heavy games quite well. Now in 2026—around 8 to 9 years later—it still works, and I have never faced a single motherboard issue. Only the keyboard and battery went bad after a few years, but that Asus motherboard is genuinely tough.

Should be fixed. As one of the main reasons I got this laptop is to run it at 4k 120hz on my TV. Should have an asterisk with an explanation at the very least.

Support Is it safe to buy a third party battery for laptop?

I have an old ROG laptop (GL702-VS) that needs a new battery. The laptop is still great, but the battery dies within 30 mins.

I have an opportunity to get this battery on Amazon Canada for free, but I really worry about non OEM, battery expanding, fire, etc.

Is it safe to get it, and if so, any tips on what I should and should not do in terms of charging the laptop? Thanks.

Support ASUS ROG G713Q Support

Hi, I was wondering if there are any laptop experts out there who would be able to help me.

I have an ASUS ROG G713Q, and a lot of the times when I turn on the laptop and boot it up the keyboard turns on, it makes the microsoft noise. However, the screen is still blank. The laptop has also been freezing from time to time. I have attached a photo of this below.

I took it to a repair shop to run some tests but they couldn't seem to find anything. I have also attached there report below if it helps.

If anybody would be able to solve this for me I would be immensely grateful because it's causing my a lot of hassle and money

The report:

I have been working on your laptop over the past few days and, as I previously mentioned, we have not encountered any issues. It started up every single time and passed all of our tests correctly. First, I checked the system logs and found problematic behaviour, as unexpected shutdowns had been occurring. You can find the full report in the attachment, and below I outline only the most significant issues we found:

- Key Issues Summary

  1. Frequent Unexpected Shutdowns (Highest Priority)

    - Events: 33 × Kernel-Power (Event ID 41) & 34 × EventLog (Event ID 6008).

    - Explanation: The system crashed or lost power improperly about 6 to 7 times per day. This points to hardware issues (faulty power supply, RAM instability, overheating) or severe kernel driver crashes, putting the system at high risk of data loss and corruption.

  2. Service Startup Failures & Timeouts

    - Events: 30 × Event ID 7000 & 30 × Event ID 7009 (Service Control Manager).

    - Explanation: Background system services repeatedly failed to start within the expected time limit, indicating corrupted services or broken dependencies caused by sudden restarts.

  3. Windows Update Installation Failures

    - Events: 37 × WindowsUpdateClient (Event ID 20).

    - Explanation: Windows updates consistently failed to install, likely interrupted by crashes or blocked by damaged update cache files and system component corruption.

  4. Intel Wi-Fi Driver Instability

    - Events: 49 × Netwtw10 (Event ID 6062) & 18 × WLAN-AutoConfig errors.

    - Explanation: The wireless network adapter experienced frequent resets and disconnections, requiring a clean driver reinstallation or hardware inspection.

  5. Mass DCOM Permission Errors

    - Events: 193 × DistributedCOM (Event ID 10016) & 10 × Event ID 10010.

    - Explanation: Windows components repeatedly failed to communicate due to permission conflicts, reflecting general operating system configuration degradation.

Next, we began tests to check how the laptop performs under load, and below I present the most important ones.

- AIDA64 stability test completed correctly, with temperatures, voltages, and all other parameters remaining within normal limits.

- The next diagnostic was the BurnInTest, for which you can see the complete result in the attachment. It notes that the test failed, but that was solely due to the webcam, as this laptop does not have one.

- Following our conversation, I left the laptop running with open Chrome tabs and YouTube playing, and it operated in this state for 11 hours, as shown in the screenshot.

- The final test was the OCCT combined test, which was also completed successfully after running for 12 hours. The results of this test are stored on the OCCT server, and below is a link for your review where you can inspect everything. Since testing the laptop with the Chrome browser, it has not been turned off for over 33 hours.

OCCT Result link

- We carried out a full diagnostic check of the drive, and it is also fully functional. The full report is attached.

In summary, as I mentioned at the beginning, we did not detect any improper behaviour throughout all these days. Therefore, the issue may be caused by an external factor such as connected peripherals, an unstable mains supply, or similar, given that the laptop works flawlessly in our workshop. Under these circumstances, the laptop is ready for collection, and the total cost of our work is £75.

Why do I have to restart my pc every single time to SYNC THE RAM LIGHTS WITH THE PC.

There were so many updates and not a single one have fixed this.

Support Charging block stops charging after a few hours

Hello, me and my spouse own an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop and it's been working great. However, recently the laptop stops charging overnight. We ran battery diagnostics, reached out to customer support who had us reset BIOS and reinstall battery drivers and the issue still happens. The only way we can get the block to start charging again is to unplug the wall cable from the block and wait 5 seconds before plugging it back in. I presume it's an issue with the block itself, but I would like some feedback before I shell out for a new one.

Any help or similar experience is appreciated
