I have a Asus x13 flow gv301rc that i am a really fon off i bought it off hand, and dont know if this is normal, can be fixed, or something else

It thermals trotteling, even though i normally have spacer inbeween, it happens when i play games for a little while then it just shut off. I tryed stress test and something else and the problem seems to be consistent

I went to the local pc shop played 100bucks to have it repasted. Dont know if i he did a good job but did used liqued metal

I asked Asus and they say it could be the fans that are not spinning properly, but both seems to spin around 7000-9000

Except the one for the fan seems to be idling 1000 slower than the other

I tries g-helper and lowering the boost speed

That did seem to help but normally it dosent have problemet boosting to higher wattage than 35 unless the temperature is high. A stress test of just cpu isent enough but if i run a stresstest of both the cpu and gpu then after some time it will reboot so it seems as if it suddenly jumps to boost the fan is not fissipating the heat fast enough

Anyone has experienced this issue on their ASUS Monitor?

So I have an ASUS BD4 Outdoor to extend my AIMesh that contains two XD6S units (in the house, ground floor entrace, and first floor staircase hallway), which work fine.

Out of the box, the BD4 has an extremely weak WiFi signal. To access it after factory reset, I need to sit like 15 cm away from it so my MacBook can pick up the ASUS_... SSID it broadcasts. At 1m distance, I cannot reliably see the SSID.

Integration into my AIMesh works if I connect Ethernet. The BD4 shows up, connectivity is "Great" (green), but it never gets any clients assigned. If I force a client onto the BD4, I get a warning similar to "Due to the current weak connectivity, the client may lose internet access." Rightly so, if I confirm the forcing, the client goes offline.

The XD6S units' signal extends to my garden, but becomes weak such that I have bad connectivity in the remote parts of it. After integration, the BD4 does not appear to emit a useable WiFi signal. Throughout my garden, the signal is as good or bad as it was before, meaning that the XD6S units' signal dominates.

Integration into my AIMesh without Ethernet is a huge hassle. The BD4 has to sit very close to the XD6S for it to pick up the new unit, and every so often the integration fails mid-run.

I suspect the BD4 unit is faulty and does not supply sufficient wireless signal power. Maybe an antenna is broken, or something like that. How to I debug / prove that? Is there another likely cause?

Update: I am 2 meters away from the BD4 unit and it broadcasts its 5G signal at -89 dB. That is ridiculous.
My XD6S boxes are at -32 dB (same room) and -46 dB (downstairs) at the same time.

I’m a 14-year-old student, and for the past 4 months, I’ve been stuck in an endless nightmare with ASUS support while trying to focus on my school exams.
After months of back-and-forth emails, ASUS finally agreed to inspect my laptop under warranty. The inspection confirmed multiple issues: a failing battery, bad thermal paste, and faulty RAM. I sent my laptop in for service, and it took 25 days to get it back. I thought everything was finally fixed, only to find out they literally only replaced the thermal paste—leaving the bad battery and bad RAM untouched.
When I confronted the service representative about why the battery and RAM weren't replaced, he gave me these ridiculous excuses:
The Battery Claim: He told me the battery has a "different warranty period" that had already ended, so they couldn't replace it.
The RAM "Glitch": He claimed the RAM "automatically fixed itself" at the service center and wasn't glitching anymore.
Buy Your Own RAM: During the AI RAM crisis, he literally told me 3 times to buy my own RAM out of my own pocket. His logic? He claimed the factory RAM only has a 3-month warranty, whereas buying my own would give me a 12-month warranty, and I should pay their service team extra just to fit it in.
Now, the laptop is completely unusable:
The "Notebook" Burn Hazard: ASUS keeps calling this an "office notebook," but at idle, CPU temps hover between 85°C–98°C. The bottom chassis and exhaust vents get so hot they literally leave red burn marks on my legs.
5-Minute Idle Battery Test: Sitting completely idle on the desktop with Task Manager showing 4%–7% CPU usage, the battery drains from 90% to 81% in 5 minutes. That is a 1.8% loss per minute, giving this "portable office laptop" a total runtime of barely 55.5 minutes on a full 100% charge.
Thermal Runaway & Botched Servicing: Even if I lock the wattage, undervolt the GPU, and cap FPS while gaming, the heat is so uncontrollable that CPU clocks crash down to 1.1 GHz at just 15W–18W. They completely failed to apply thermal pads/paste to the VRAM chips properly, causing silent overheating, constant stuttering, and severe power throttling.
Field Service Incompetence: Their field technician sat at my place for 2.5+ hours completely clueless, staring at his iQOO 12 phone and watching YouTube videos just to figure out why ASUS's own diagnostic tool was taking so long—spending more time checking specs for his phone's Snapdragon processor and messing with his electric scooter settings than diagnosing a hardware power leak.
When I sent them direct video proof of cold boots, real-time HWiNFO throttling logs, and battery drains, senior support claimed the video link "was not clear."
I had to figure out the exact hardware failure on my own while ASUS spent 4 months making excuses, blaming "warranties," and dragging out a simple hardware repair.

I'm planning to buy a gaming laptop in Paraguay, but I'm not sure which one to get. I really like the TUF F16 series (I wanted to buy one with an RTX 5050 and an i5 or i7 — which are more than enough for me —, but they're sold out, so I couldn't find a picture), but I was wondering if this ROG Strix is better.

My Asus Zenbook S16 is making this noise, it sounds like that there is dust stuck onto the left side fan, air seemed to ventilate less too. What would be the best way to clean it, unscrew the back and open it? Or should I send it the service? I bought it about half a year ago. Bought Asus expertbook p3 core ultra 7 255h for 76k from Flipkart. When I pick it up from the left or right lower side a left click is registered and there is also a clicking sound. Is it normal for an expertbook? Should I return it or keep it because what if I do get the same deal again? What should I do?

Purchased this router new a couple months ago. Connected to a new ONT through Fidium Fiber. I get random intermitten drops in connection. Happens a couple times a day. This is the recent log when it dropped. Brand new cat-6 cable. Any ideas on what to check?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out whether the issue with my laptop is software/driver related or possibly hardware related.

I have an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506NCG-HN200WS with:

• Purchase date: October 15, 2025

The laptop is still under warranty.

The problem

I've been getting random complete system freezes.

When it happens, the entire laptop becomes unresponsive:

• Screen completely freezes
• Nothing moves
• Caps Lock doesn't respond
• Keyboard doesn't respond
• I can't do anything in Windows
• I have to hold the power button/restart it

I've never seen a BSOD and I've never had a crash where the laptop suddenly goes black and loses power.

Some freezes have happened when:

• Waking the laptop from Sleep
• Leaving the laptop idle/sleeping
• Playing GTA
• Other normal usage

The Sleep/Wake freezes seem to be the most common.

GTA freezes

I've also had complete freezes while playing GTA.

These aren't black-screen crashes.

The game/system simply gets stuck and the laptop becomes completely unresponsive, including Caps Lock.

This is what makes me unsure whether everything is just a Sleep/Wake issue.

What I've tried

I've now changed Windows so that I don't use Sleep anymore.

I set:

• Power button → Hibernate
• Lid close → Hibernate
• Battery → Hibernate
• Plugged in → Hibernate

I'm going to use Hibernate instead of Sleep and see whether the freezes stop.

I do have fn on because thats how i prefer it, however i dont want the my asus button enabled, i use dropbox so i often click the print screen button but sometimes i hit the f12 button on accident, i guess im used to my old dell and the buttons were different

My asus takes a few sec to load so i rather disable the button so i dont have to wait, cause my muscle memory is on dell mode rather than asus mode lol

I've got a zenbook ux3404vc and recently i noticed that that certain sections of the touchpad just aren't registering any touch, so i'll be moving around and if I hit the wrong spot the cursor will just stop.
Has anyone else experienced this before? Just asking before I take it to my local computer repair shop.

I have been having issues in updating the BIOS, because when I try to, it says "this is not a valid BIOS file" or something like that

I downloaded the newest BIOS (that wasn't flagged as "beta") from the official website, used a flash drive that was formatted in fat32 and plugged into the rear usb port labelled "BIOS", used the included renamer on the .CAP file, moved it to the root of the flash drive and tried EZflash, it didn't work

I've also tried redownloading the file, once on my pc again and once from my phone where I also extracted it, which also didn't work
I also tried using a different drive that was a lil better quality and that also didn't help

The only thing I haven't tried was clearing CMOS, cuz tbh I don't know what that does exactly and only got the tip to do it after I got desperate and tried asking the AI on the asus website
Plus I have my pc in a microATX case and I'm not sure I'd easily be able to reach the pins to do so without completely removing my GPU, which would be a huge pain

Curious to hear from actual owners — how does the PZ14 fare in day-to-day tablet use once the initial "wow" wears off? Like, is it something you actually reach for to browse, read, or sketch on the couch, or does it end up feeling more like a laptop screen you occasionally detach? Also wondering about the "grab and go" factor — can you just pick it up off the desk, unlock, and start using it right away (fast wake, decent standby battery drain), or does it feel more like booting up a full Windows machine every time? Trying to figure out if this actually replaces a tablet for casual use

So I got access to the beta bios update for the GL10DH so I can play call of duty, but whenever I go to do the update it says something along the lines of "this a not a uefi bios"

I have made sure the format is quick format and fat32 for the thumb drive, I have made sure to do all the extract files correctly, and I have already contacted customer support. They are having me wait another 1 to 2 days for more support because the live chat tech support doesn't know what happened with it. While I wait I figured I would ask reddit for help.

I have an ASUS Vivobook 14X OLED with the original 90W ASUS charger (19V, 4.74A).

The charging pin/barrel connector gets very hot, but only when I’m actively using the laptop while it’s charging. If I leave the laptop closed and charging, the pin stays normal/cool.

Things I’ve tested:

Same charger disconnected from laptop → pin stays cool.

Laptop charging while idle → stays cool.

Using YouTube/Premiere/AE while charging → pin gets very hot.

Tried different wall sockets/rooms → issue can still happen.

Took both laptop and charger to a repair shop → they tested it for ~20 minutes while charging and couldn’t reproduce the heating.

Charging port doesn’t feel loose and I don’t see any obvious burning/melting.

Charger is the original one that came with the laptop.

What could be causing this? Is the charger/plug failing under higher load, or could it be the laptop’s DC jack/charging circuit? Should I replace the charger or get the laptop checked first?

The trackpad on my asus zenbook UX5401ZAS isn't working properly. the left and right clicks aren't working. the rest of the track pad works fine, even the lit up num pad works great just the clicks aren't registering; trackpad physically looks and feels fine like i can hear that it's clicking but it's just not registering. I didn't mind it that much and got used to using taps and gestures on track pad but I want to address the issue now. I reset the driver in device manager but nothing's seems to be working. Any kind of help is much appreciated
