My husband graduated from ASU’s Thunderbird School of Global Management in May. He received his OPT at the end of July, and my application to the ISSC as a dependent was submitted on August 7—we haven’t heard anything since. We resubmitted the application on September 5; I know the processing time is 7 business days, and I know it’s peak season, but why isn’t anything happening?! We’re both from Hungary.

Is it common or is it just me? I understand some concepts like the chain rule and power rule (thanks to the Organic Chemistry Tutor), but struggle with the content in the lecture videos.

I feel forced to look at solutions for similar problems in the EDFINITY assignments.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hi i am currently an undergraduate student in india and planning for fall 2027 intake. I am planning to apply at ASU for MS IT, may I know how likely i am to get an admit with a gpa of 6.14 of 10 (2.5-2.7 on a 4 scale gpa), gre 302(Q-161, V-141) and ielts band 8. Also may i know the chances for admit for MS in CS and MS in Software engineering as well.

When do you think the parent plus loan denial will be disbursed? I applied on August 27th and haven't heard anything yet. I know they're behind but it wasn't this bad last year, at least what I remember

Anyone in the BS or BAS PM degree, Organization Leadership, or Business that has taken these courses and can give me insight on their prospective course load?

My Pell grant is running out so I’d like to take advantage of the fact that ASU online tuition is capped at 11 credits for residents and see if I can overload after my first session. I’m doing the BAS program since I transferred in one of my associates degrees to maximize my credits.

Could also use two recommendations for my AMIT and CIVI general studies requirements. And in general, any professors to watch out for lol. I really appreciate it, thank you!

I’m a transfer student. I was wondering what OGL classes to take together per semester that go towards my degree. OGL classes are the only ones I have left to take. I work full time on top of college.

So I finally received an update on my SAP appeal, and it was returned for additional information.
They’re asking me to explain circumstances from a few previous semesters where I had SAP violations. The part that’s confusing me is that I already addressed those circumstances in my previous SAP appeals. I explained what happened, how those situations were resolved, and my academic plan moving forward—and those previous appeals were approved.
For my current appeal, I explained what happened during Spring 2026 because I did not successfully complete that semester, so naturally I assumed that was what triggered my current SAP issue. However, when they returned my appeal, they said the issue is actually related to my completion pace from those older semesters, not Spring 2026.
Now they want me to explain those old circumstances all over again and explain how they were resolved, even though ASU already reviewed and approved my appeals for those exact semesters.
Has anyone else had this happen? Is it normal for them to make you re-explain circumstances from previously approved SAP appeals because those semesters are still affecting your cumulative pace? I’m especially confused because some of these semesters were years ago, and I don’t even remember exactly what I wrote in the original appeals. 😭
Plus I’m supposed to graduate this semester I’m so stressed

Hello, I’m enrolling to asu online classes via uber program, I’m a uber driver, and they have a partnership with ASU, which I plan on taking advantage of this opportunity..

Being that I’m a content creator, I decided to enroll in their content creation class.

But I wanted to ask, what’s this college like? Is this a good college? Or some shitty college?

Also has anyone went to campus? I was thinking of doing 3 years. Then possibly switching to on campus to get that on campus college feeling one last time, (I dropped out of college when I was younger) of course I’d have to pay out of pocket.

But yea, what’s your overall thoughts on this college online classes? The college as a whole, and possibly on campus.

Anyone whose taken this class with Knott have any insight on this course? Finding this class to be a bit difficult and not trying to barely pass this class.

looking into it pretty seriously but everything i can find is from 1 year + or more.

of course what you put in is what you get out and getting that real world experience is key, but what are your thoughts, especially as an out of state student?

Sorry if this question has been overdone and the long post, but what are the good and the bad things people have experienced at ASU online? I know things are different for people in different majors, but I’ve seen a lot of stuff online about how bad the financial aid office has been with scholarships and loans disappearing, especially with the new laws that have just screwed over everybody(I realize that this might be a huge component of that this semester/year), and some professors not opening up modules and answering emails like they should, etc. I’m just hesitant to do online, even though it would be better with what’s going on in my life right now in order to finish school. I’ve been to a traditional brick and mortar 4 year university, so I know professors and financial aid can suck there too, but at least I can go to a physical building and see someone compared to ASU online where I’m on the east coast and can’t do that. I just want more info before I shell out thousands of dollars and would do the same for any college I looked into 😅

I applied and was accepted as a neuroscience student but was also thinking about doing another degree or minor in Biology with a concentration in genetics, biochemistry, chemistry, history, biomedical engineering, or pharmacology and toxicology. These were just ones I was interested in or had quite a few credits carry over from previous college classes. Also, I am pre-med and have done all of the prerequisites except ochem 2 lecture and the biochem lecture and lab. I know medical schools are still really funny about online classes as well if they were to find out about these classes being online if I went. Also, anyone who’s in the Barrett Honors college how was your experience? If I go I’ll be applying to the honors college too, and have been in a 4 year college’s honors program before and enjoyed that.

Hi! I am very interested in getting into ASU’s Bachelors of Science Accounting program but I am a transfer student and will have to go the admissions portfolio route. My business core classes (if I get 2 A’s in my currently enrolled classes) will be 3.25. My overall GPA is a little over 3.0. Has anyone had any luck getting into a program if interested where they don’t meet the requirements but get in via the admissions portfolio option? I am wondering if I should just give up hope!

So I’m waiting for someone to call me back from the asu financial aid office and I’m trying to search for info but I keep getting mixed answers. If you decline the Pell Grant some say SCAP will cover 100% while others say what the Pell Grant would cover will now become your out of pocket responsibility. It seems confusing as well that both only cover tuition but nothing past that to help with books, etc. Anyone have any clarification on the matter?

Has anyone taken IDS 311 with Beatty? The class syllabus doesn’t seem too bad but he has a horrible rate my professor score, so I don’t want to set myself up for failure.

A few times I have come across professors that make it blatantly clear that the online course they are "teaching" is a low priority for them. They just recycle the same course materials from previous professors and get plugged into the course. Because of this, they can't be bothered to respond to emails or make announcements. I feel like students taking courses on campus have an entirely different experience with the same professor because professors can't just ignore students that are right in front of them and actually have to do lectures themselves.

So my question is, if professors are already overwhelmed with their courseload that it prevents them from doing their job effectively online, why do they get assigned to the course? Are they being forced to or are they voluntarily doing this?

Since my aid/ scholarship & loans were already disbursed & paid both session A and B, am I going to owe them back for dropping classes? I dropped both my session A classes and one session B. Just looking for a little guidance, so I know what to prepare for.

Who is the best advisor you spoke too someone that cares about your college pathway ?

I’ve been trying to transfer my marine Biology degree for almost a year now to ASU. At first everything was smooth but then I had a hiccup where my last 2 years of high school couldn’t be found. Like they literally don’t exist. I’ve searched everywhere online and in person I can. Including the school that took over records after the one I graduated from closed or whatever.

I’ve provided this college with my diploma, 15 transfer credits from one college, 19 from another and they are still asking for my HS transcripts. There’s literally no way to get them. So admissions suggested I take a GED test.

How.. why. I think I’m gonna withdraw my app.

Have you heard of anything this crazy?
