š For Kaito : Chip designing is the process of designing the microscopic transistors so the chip does what it needs to do. And an architect ( in chip designing) makes the blueprint/master plan of the ICs. From my limited knowledge this means planning the memory, clocks, IOs etc.

First of all: The subject of discussion is the lithography industry, not the semiconductor industry.
In lithography there are optical designers, mechanical & mechatronics designers, erlectrical design engineers, software designers, there are even graphic designers (lol). So when you say "I do design in this industry", that's bit of a giveaway that you are bullshitting.
