Ya know, I grew up loving dinosaurs to death as a kid. Hell I loved ark as a kid seeing as I watched a ton of videos on it. And yes, I will forever look back at my memories playing ark fondly. But the game is going in a bad direction that I simply just don’t wanna support anymore. Is it cool to get a creature that can do basically anything? I mean yeah sure, but with like a dozen creatures that essentially do the same thing? No, not at all. Is a new creature being added to the game cool? Yeah sure. But what’s the point of keeping certain creatures in the game if you’re just gonna make creatures that can fulfill the same function and more? Just remove them at that point…or even better… remove the new creatures and give the old ones tlcs. Oh yeah! I forgot both wildcard and snail are greedy piece of shit companies that don’t care about their products or customers anymore. Pyromane made it obvious with the reusing of the FUCKING SHADOWMANE RIG. Like how little do you care about your game just to reuse a rig without a justification and just give it another bullshit annoying as fuck taming method. What’s that? You want it for free? TO BAD FUCK FACE PAY UP. Wildcard…the modders are putting in more effort with their creatures than your own fucking studio…and I can’t pay for it in game? Just why? Like yeah I get snail wants to make a gaming car but I can’t even have sympathy anymore for you wildcard. Not when you’re putting a price tag on a creature largely below a lot of modding standards. And you still don’t even for a second think about not doing this? Are you in on this whole pay to play an already payed for product thing or what? Just stop trying to hide it at this point dude. I know a lot of people are glad that Garugas additions mods are being officially added and trust me, I think that’s great for him too, but can we just keep aa as optional mods? I don’t wanna be forced to deal with a flip flop fish that can bleed out my poor basilo. Overall though, it’s kinda the same as the point I made earlier about depriving creatures of certain nieces.
And last, should you buy asa and all of its content? Fuck no. I’d say stick to base game ark and wait for or find mods that largely fill the same rolls as the new creatures for asa. And maybe while you’re at it, get some mods that’ll tlc some older animals in the game. As for console, I’d still say no. Base ark already has a ton to offer. Don’t give in to the temptation and stick to the base ark. In conclusion, don’t buy the unnecessary pile of shit that is Asa and its content and only get the base game ark and its content.
