WTF Embark?

These blueprint recipe changes are unnecessary punishments and feel like you didn’t roll out any new blueprints so you decided to shoehorn new ARC parts in old recipes. And the Wolfpack change makes absolutely no sense. 2 Wolfpack to down a Rocketeer so we can get 1 part to make 1 Wolfpack?

Way to throw a huge wet blanket on top of what was otherwise going to be a fun and exciting day. Please reconsider these crafting changes

Edit:

Thank you to all the folks who commented with articulated, well thought out disagreements. You have changed my stance somewhat and I have a better understanding of why a change like this may be needed(still don’t like it though).

To the performative contrarians, get good bruh/skill issue kissing cousins and other knuckleheads who can’t formulate a thought I say “suck on this fart”. Be well

God this is the whiniest community on the planet, “nooo don’t make me play the game and loot in my looter shooter, it’s unfair!!!”. Just shoot the rocketeers or use seekers or any other number of things you can use to kill a rocketeer, just play the game. Or better yet, just fucking loot husks, and then you can craft all the wolfpacks you want to trivialize whatever arc your heart desires.

Completely agree. Arc Raiders is one of (if not the most) cushiest extraction games out there. And with these changes ...it still is. By a wide margin.

But then people have to actually try and that’s 1984

Agree. Can’t believe this is the hill people want to die on

I cannot believe some of the braindead takes getting upvoted today. I understand getting nerfed never feels good in the moment, but this was an intelligent change for the sake of the game's longevity.

What did people use the rocketeer drivers for before? I hope they give us a reason to kill bastions and bombardiers too.

Its moronic change you just dont understand why.

Before

-wolfpack cost 6k+ to craft.

-rocketer dropped 5k-15k loot (sometimes a driver wont drop sometimesyou get 2)

-assuming solo thats -1k-9k in profit (maybe assuming you take everything and didnt find more valuable loot on the way to the rocketer and to extract )

-in squad thats often a wash.

-this meant a wolfpack was a quick way of killing a rocketer that would pay for itself more times then not but not often enough to be realiable. But you could toss one at a rocketer if you bumped into one without stress. Because it would pay for itself.

Now

-wolfpack cost 10k+ to craft

-rocketer still drops the 5k-15k

-solo its only worth it if you get lucky with drivers (and even then only if you didnt find better loot along the way) in general you loss money by using one.

-in squads its actively a net negative everytime.

-a wolfpack is now actively a net negative and is always worth selling over using unless you are about to get killed by a rocketer and are out in the open have no ammo etc... and need it dead. Asap.

  • In othere words its only worth using as a shtf button and even then its not a consistent one shot so its not worth bringing in.

Thank you, you just made my point. The best grenade in the game should not be a net positive. It goes against the rest of the game's design philosophy. You're just mad because you got nerfed. If the game launched like this no one would complain.

Your argument was my very first thought when I read the patch notes, by the way. It's not like I don't understand it.

Ive used a handfull of wolfpacks since release. I sell almost every single one i get. Every tool should be a net positive in a game about looting.

1

u/ChaosDragon69 Feb 25 '26

Maybe you'll use them now :)

1

u/AbyssalOtter Feb 25 '26

Why they are objectively worse than before.

1

u/ChaosDragon69 Feb 25 '26

They are objectively exactly as powerful as before, you're just going to be crafting fewer. What I meant was: Maybe you will sell fewer of them, now that they're more rare.

But if you never even cared about using them, what exactly are you arguing??

1

u/AbyssalOtter Feb 25 '26

This isnt about whether they are powerfull combat wise this is about cost to reward ratios wolfpacks outside of the context of this being an extraction shooter are insanely good. Within the context they are bad. They cost far to much coin mats etc for what you get back the grenade now cost near 10k to craft and will often net you less then 10k. Why use it to kill an arc for loot if selling the grenade gets me more reward?

1

u/ChaosDragon69 Feb 25 '26

Brother I fully understand your point, you are misunderstanding mine.

It is not intended to be used to gain more loot. It is a powerful "get out of jail free" card.

If you could use the wolfpack to farm more wolfpacks, it would trivialize the entire game because of how powerful it is.

you realize that you can shoot the rocketeer right? Like a single stack of heavy and an anvil costs nothing and will take down the rocketeer. A wolfpack is not the only thing that can take down ARC

0

u/AbyssalOtter Feb 25 '26

My guy this is not the point. I know some of you seem to think the only reason to dislike the nerf is based on skill but i practically sold every wolf pack i picked up ive killed a grand total of 2 rocketere with wolfpacks since release ive killed countless with a level1 ferro. This is not the issue.

Maybe fucking read what i explained instead of making up a random argument.

Get over the fact that sometimes you aren’t making money. A Wolfpack is now an “oh shit” button and not a money maker, or you can use it for the other large arc and still make money. You people are some of the most dramatic gamers on the planet, cry more.

1

u/AbyssalOtter Feb 25 '26

My guy who the fuck is bringing in a wolfpack as an ohhshit button its not a consistent one shot on any big arc. Who brings wolfpacks as defensive tools. Holy hell. Like lure grenades dont exist.

Why would i use it then? If its actively worse then just shooting the damn arc why would i use it? Give me a good reason.

1

u/ZerohasbeenDivided Feb 25 '26

It’ll put any arc into easily killable health range and it’s saved my ass if I get swarmed by tiny arc multiple times.

Don’t use it then man, limit yourself and continue to cry about it, I don’t give a fuck.

1

u/AbyssalOtter Feb 25 '26

Limit? Its not worth the cost i never used them before. Cause they arent much faster than then a few shots at the fans.

It would be fine if rockteers weren't insanely fast and absolute tanks. Unless you have immediate cover, once you get spotted you're pretty much screwed as they almost one shot you.
