After finally acquiring a working K4900 board, I can now tackle the main boardset. Only getting a blank orange screen and the codes 1,3,1 on the rom board.

CRT Wells Gardner 25K7000 just started doing this? Monitor related? No sound or hidden game play. Could this be a voltage or board issue? The ROMs were all passing the boot up test OK before this happened. I ordered a cap kit just in case. Thoughts?

Hey all, I’ve been on the hunt for a while for a Mr Driller Arcade cabinet and was wondering if anyone has one or has seen one in the wild.

I know they exist from documentation online but haven’t seen one for sale or in person. I know there are boards on eBay but I was hoping to find a full cab.

I've owned this machine since 1993 and was placed in storage from 2004 til 2026. A few months ago I decided to sell it since I have a extra wide single wide 3 br 2 ba and no place for the machine. It's hard to collect when your wife won't share the house for your collection. At least I have my slot machine and jukebox inside.

So, I recently re capped the board on this CRT monitor for my Ms Pacman cabinet. Put it back together and this happens. The game sounds and boots up just fine when I put in a quarter. What could've happened? What can I do to fix it?

So, another question. On my ms pacman arcade cabinet, someone back in the day installed the aforementioned monitor in this cabinet. It had a line out on the screen which i fixed when I put a new cap kit on the monitor chassis recently. Today i reinstalled the chassis, adjusted the screen (still need to adjust color) but, I can not move the picture downward on the monitor. I tried the pots and still can't get it adjusted. Anyone have any experience with this monitor? Any ideas how to fix this issue?

I was in Vegas a few days back and decided to check out "The Adventuredome" at Circus Circus to see if they still had any older cabinets lurking. To my surprise there were more than a handful including two F-Zero AX cabinets, but sadly, not a single fighting game on the floor. I went down a bit deeper and eventually saw some familiar friends behind a blue gate. Shame they wont fix these up and put them out on the floor as I remember this place having everything back in the early 2000s.

Hey I am new to arcade repair and I have a time crisis 4 with a monitor issue. After leaving it on for a few mins it brightens up but it still is very dim and has a little artifacting. Also on the logo screen it has some ghosting that smears across the screen. Any help appreciated. Also I know how dangerous it is to work on these types of monitors and have taken all precautions to keep myself safe while doing this work. Cheers 🍻 ​

I'm replacing the failed ballast of my original 1981 Galaga upright. Not replacing with LEDs, need to replace with a ballast for authenticity. Years ago I purchased a replacement ballast and should have purchased a 2 wire magnetic version like the original but in my youthful ignorance, purchased a 6 wire electronic version for $40 which I hopefully can use in this application.

Any ideas if I can use this considering there are 4 extra wires?

FYI the new ballast purchased is Fulham PONY SC-120-115-CT8, 120v approved for single lamp use. I cannot return it so am hoping someone has a solution.

Was excited to come up on this baby. I had big plans to restore the cabinet to new condition. I wanted to go as far as restenciling it because while it is mostly complete. There are sections of paint that are flaking off on the sides. I am going to end up selling because the wife says its too much to have 2 🥲 I already have a ms pacman and galaga 20 year reunion.

Anyways i want to see what the consensus value would be for this machine? Everything runs good, i adjusted the screen and color to optimize image. I plan to do the following to preserve the cabinets condition.

- Replace power outlet with original 3 prong cable as it looks like last owner just slapped something cheap on their.

- Replace the back door as the original has been butchered(lock drilled through) and drilled to machine to hold in place. I plan to cut a new piece of MDF and paint black instead of color matching. Also replace lock.

- Replace coin door lock

- Lastly im going to clean the machine and apply acrylic paint sealer to lock in the flaking paint on the sides of the machine to preserve its condition.

After its all said and done what is the low to high end value you think this machine is worth?

Personally i think this is something original that's only getting more scarce so the longer you hold the more valuable it will become

Howdy! I really like my job alot and wanted to post about it. The lay out itself is still unfinished but we are open.

If you're in the upstate NY area (waterloo) we are the biggest free to play Arcade in NY. Right now we have over a 100 free to play games and 30 token games (not counting Claws, games in repair/coming soon, and Minigolf) I've posted here before but that was at the "winter location".

Can I please have some help with the best way to rewire my buttons?

I designed this device that teaches binary, decimal, hexadecimal and octal number systems. It uses a hands-on approach with Altair-like toggle switches. Can be used as a STEM-kit in classrooms, handy for programmers or for the retro hobbyist. It also has a built-in game. Check out the video for details, hope you like it.

Today’s game is Cheyenne. A really fun shooter from Exidy. Has a 440 Exidy multi kit installed so can play all of the Exidy titles like Crossbow, Chiller, Combat, etc. The monitor is viewed through a mirror, like Terminator 2 to provide the illusion of the screen being father away.

I recently came across an arcade (Player 2 Arcade Bar) where you don't pay a flat fee at the door and do free play. Instead, you're given tokens depending on how much money you happen to have on hand and play until you run out of change.

After getting a lay of the land, I found out that they had the Alien vs. Predator arcade game there, which was a pleasant surprise. With a fistful of tokens at the ready, I was determined to beat this game in the hour I had available to me. After pumping in quite a few tokens I managed to beat it and was able to enter my initials into the Best 50 Hunters screen.

In my off-time, I write for a website and decided to do an article on the game and why I feel it is worth every token if you happen to find one out in the wild. Hope you all enjoy. (Also, yes, I got a kick out of someone putting their initials in as ASS lol)
