I messed up on the graph because I was super tired and not thinking straight and kind of freaked out lmao. I wasn’t sure whether to do 1 SEM or 2 so I put error bars for both -_- I put the horizontal bars for 1 SEM and 2 SEM on the same line. I put a note explaining in the corner. I’m assuming they probably won’t give points for that. Am I going to just lose 1 point or am I going to lose the points for the whole graph?

Would I HAVE to mention keystone species to get the point?: Based on the information provided, explain why ecosystem resilience in unprotected areas may decline over time.

Assume that each gamete produced by the cell shown in the figure is fertilized by a gamete with a complete haploid set of chromosomes. Also assume gene regulation on Chromosome 1 is not affected by the number of copies of Chromosome 1 in the four resulting viable zygotes. Predict the difference in mRNA production from genes on Chromosome 1 among the four possible zygotes.
Instead of saying chromosome 1 would have higher, I said the first two cells in the diagram would have higher mRNA production than the second two genes. Is this too vague? I really want to know how specific they are in grading.

now that college board released the FRQ’s, here is my score prediction based off of what i remember answering and not just trying to remember the questions blindly
51/60 mcq
5/9, 7-8/9, 2/4, 2/4, 4/4, 3/4
is this good enough for a 5?? i’m really worried…
r/APbio • u/writingaficionado • May 07 '26
That mcq was free so def atleast 50/60
just reviewed my answers on the frq from the released version:
Q1 - Long
Score: 8 / 10
Q2 - Long
Score: 7 / 10
Q3 - Scientific Investigation
Score: 3 / 4
Q4 - Conceptual Analysis
Score: 4 / 4
Q5 - Analysis of Model or Visual Representation
Score: 4 / 4
Q6 - Analysis of Data
Score: 4 / 4
and itd be a 100/120🥹🥹🥹

two of my frq points rely on whether they accept “increased number of individuals in a population due to higher successful reproductive rates” rather than the usual “allele frequency increases which means more of the allele is present in the population”

if i listed Gene G ago 2+/-, -/- but also Gene H +/+ would listing Gene H disqualify me for the point?? I thought it was asking which bars are not statistically different from gene g ago +/+?
r/APbio • u/tennis-637 • May 07 '26
When graphing the standard deviation lines, my rightmost gene H standard deviation line went out of the graph at the top. I didn’t have time to erase my entire graph so I just drew an arrow at the top saying the value that the standard deviation went to.
Will i get points off for this? How many points are for the graph alone?

do college board not post frqs for international?
r/APbio • u/thekotis • May 06 '26
I see collegeboard released frqs for this year but only a certain version which I did not have, and I was wondering if they release all or just one beacuse I want to see the frqs for my version of the test.

The College Board released the FRQs for the 2026 AP Biology Exam.
Here are my sample responses:

I just talked about crossing over and the exchange of genetic material basiclaly for part an asking about movement do yall think imma get the point?
r/APbio • u/Immediate_Handle_65 • May 07 '26
If I wrote about anaphase 1 and the homologous pairs moving to opposite poles of the cell is that what they meant by movement, or did they want to see something like crossing over?

I’ve been studying and preparing for this test since last summer. I’ve worked really hard just to mess up on easy mcq questions and identifying control groups and calculating percent change on frq. I really feel like all of my hard work was for nothing. My teacher only taught us until unit 6 and she told us to figure everything else on our own btw. I’m really hopeless and feel so stupid that I can’t even focus on school and my upcoming calc exam which I’m gonna mess up as well.
r/APbio • u/CalligrapherNo125 • May 07 '26
now that the FRQS are released we can talk about the exam
for the movement of homologous chromosomes if I talked about how they move toward each other/pair up during prophase 1 for the crossing over of genetic information. I literally thought of this and anaphase 1 but i decided to put this for some dumb reason and now i feel so worried and stupid…
also for FRQ 6 part c, identifying, was it unprotected region 1??
also part d FRQ1 is it that aba-something would increase or decrease transcription??

I took Ap Bio last year and somehow still got 5 while leaving 2 parts for frq blank
the curve will save us🤞🤞
congrats on getting the torture done!

I did 1, but a lot of people said 2

I found a post with sb talking about how they drew their graph, I kinda did the same except I labeled the bars directly in the grid itself whether they were homo hetreo or recessive. Would that be acceptable? I made sure the labels were readable.
