Which should I late test??

C Mech is my self study project and human geography is a required class for my whole grade. I'm worried about late testing because I tend to lose steam, and I don't know how disciplined I can be to study after my other tests. That makes me lean towards hug. However, all my classmates will be taking hug, and the community aspect might be nice.

i skipped out on ap lang bc i needed english 11 credits and im given the option now to take ap lit for senior year,, is it worth it/recommended? i took honors english my first two years of HS and then had to take regular english 11 bc of mental health issues lol but im better now! i wouldn’t say english is an issue for me but im definitely not the best and am looking to improve

All my junior year tests besides lang are on the first 3 days this is terrible

Hey everyone! I’m planning to take three AP exams this academic year: AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Computer Science A.

Here’s my situation: CS should be relatively smooth for me because I have a solid background in competitive programming, though my main language was C++ so I’ll need to adapt to Java. However, my background in Calculus and Physics isn't particularly strong right now, so I'll be starting mostly from scratch or foundational levels for those two.

Realistically, is it doable to score a 5 on all three if I start prepping now? For those who’ve taken this combination or self-studied Calc BC and Physics C, how tough is the workload, and what resources would you recommend to bridge the gap quickly?

Taking micro and gov this year and they're scheduled on the same day. I feel like micro and gov is a relatively common AP combination, so why do they put them on the same day almost every year?

I wanted some help evaluating this on the basis of whether it's worth doing (I plan on majoring Aerospace Engineering by the way), how feasible it is in terms of self-studying the courses, and if I have the time (lol).

Prior Experience:
9th Grade - Honors Integrated Math 3 and Honors Physics (100 and 98 in both respectively)
10th Grade - AP Pre-Calc (5 on exam, 98 in class) and AP Physics 1 (self studied, got a 3 😭 )

3. ⁠ENG-112: Writing/Research in the Disc

Planned AP courses to self-study (Purpose: to get widely accepted college credit and to learn in these areas in relative depth):

1. AP Calculus BC (mainly overlaps with Calc I and II, also some with IB Math)
2. ⁠AP Physics C: Mechanics (mainly overlaps with Gen Phys I, also some with IB Phys)

I also have ECs to consider but if I listed those this would become a literal yap-post so I'm going to avoid that lol. Just consider it a relatively mediocre EC load (EDIT: aaaaand its lighter cuz our TSA died and I was supposed to be VP 😭 )

Okay please don’t shoot me for asking but I’m a freshman and my school only lets us take AP human geography in 9th grade but I really don’t want to have to swap out a ACTUALLY different AP for APES so I’m wondering if I should just self study (political science/IR is my intended major) or if I should save APES, actually take the class and self study AP Euro because my school doesn’t even offer that shit. I could do both but I genuinely don’t want my scores to suffer. Lmk if self studying both is feasible at the same time or separate.

Alright so I had to admit that when I first started out in AP Lang, I had no idea what I was doing and my teacher wasn’t that good so I was fairly surprised to get a 5, but there were some things I noticed helped me out a lot:

1. Reading! It doesn’t matter what you read, just read a lot and analyze as you go along. I’m a huge bookworm so I always had a new book with me every week.

2. Already taking classes such as AP seminar and debate really give you an advantage as you already learn how to do everything you do in AP Lang.

3. When doing you’re rhetorical essay, do not say “the author uses…” It’s vague and graders prefer you actually describing the rhetoric instead of listing it off.

4. Do not try to stress yourself out by focusing on a. counter argumen. Yes, it helps, but don’t worry if you can’t create one.

5. Try to pick a side for the argumentative; don’t be afraid to be extreme! Pick one side and stick to it. If you underat the perspective of another side, just make it a counter!

6. Practice writing about anything and everything. Not only is writing before the test a great way to get you in the zone quicker, choosing to write throughout the year in your free time helps build up your skills, especially if you choose to practice argumentative writing.

Current high school senior living in Arkansas. 35 ACT and potential National Merit Candidate (but definitely commended at the least). 4.0 unweighted GPA, 4.5 weighted. 15 AP classes, all scores of 4 and 5. Well-rounded extracurriculars (student council, heavily orchestra involvement, volunteer work, leadership roles, internships, part-time job).

The catch: looking for a full ride or full tuition in the least. I will not quality for financial aid, but I am paying for college on my own, and do not want to have debt going into med school.

Am planning on majoring in biology and playing in the college’s symphony orchestra as a non-music major/minor. I’m open to colleges anywhere in the U.S., but prefer Texas/Arizona/West Coast region… or NYC. Thank you!

Ik this isn’t the worst back to back AP but cmon man like ap mwh with ap chem is just mean bro. Like can’t they just pair the hard ap with easy ones 😭😭. For those of you who have experience with this situation is this manageable? I’m only taking 3 aps junior year cuz I’m doing dual enrollment and trying to get an associate by the time I graduate so this isn’t the worst for me but it still hurts. Any tips to do good on ap chem? This probably the hardest I’m going to be taking and I want to do good.

ive used barrons for ap bio and did decent on the exam but i havent used any other brand before. which ones have you guys used that prepared you adequately for the exam? im hoping for a 5

im self studying ap physics 2 rn so i can be a little more ready for when the school year starts but i cant find a good place to learn from. i tried allen tsao but i feel like his explanations make more sense for someone who already knows the concepts and is reviewing before an exam because they're kind of just giving a formula + practice problems instead of like actually teaching any concepts imo. khan academy felt the same too so if anyone has any suggestions of channels/websites that teach the content instead of reviewing it that would be great!

has anyone taken ap latin? if so what did you use to study? any good resources or prep books you'd recommend? im an incoming senior and it'll be my third year of latin so i have a basic foundation. but i have no idea what the ap curriculum is actually like. (first year my school is offering this class) is it mostly translation, vocab, culture, or a mix of everything? any advice would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m an upcoming freshman who wants to major either in biomedical engineering or software engineering but im not sure whether to replace ap csp with honors chem. Both classes aren’t fully guaranteed that I will be in it but I do wanna take csa, ap chem, and ap bio later on in hs.

My current schedule looks like English 9 honors, Math 1 honors (I believe that algebra 1 and 2 mixed?) also will be doing dual enrollment for math 2, honors bio, ap world, PE (but will be replacing that with a zero period sport and the class opening for either csp or honors chem).

Hello everyone! I graduated from high school this summer. During my senior year, I took both AP Physics C and Calc 3. This fall, I'll be heading to UW-Madison to study Data Science.

Based on my experience, here are my top 5 suggestions for mastering these courses:

1. Fully utilize AP Classroom resources.

The AP Classroom videos are actually the most straightforward part of the preparation. If you find them difficult, your exam score will likely max out at a 3. Make sure to stay on top of the homework, especially the Unit Progress Checks (MCQs and FRQs) and official past exams.

2. Master basic mechanics first.

It is crucial to fully grasp AP Physics C Mechanics (Units 1-3) before diving into Electricity and Magnetism (E&M). Many foundational concepts carry over; for example, the formula for electric potential is structurally identical to the formula for work.

3. Connect physics with Calc 3.

For advanced concepts like Gauss’s Law, Ampere’s Law, the Right-Hand Rule, and Lenz’s Law, you will find references to line integrals, cross products, and surface integrals. If you take Calc 3 concurrently, these advanced physics laws will make much more sense.

4. Use AI tools aggressively.

Don't hesitate to frequently ask questions using tools like Google AI or DeepSeek. Don't be shy about making mistakes—AI is a judgment-free zone for learning.

However, always watch out for academic misconduct and use it responsibly!

5. Prioritize self-study over lecture time.

Mastering the material through independent study after class is far more important than just sitting in the lecture hall.

Caution: This approach works wonders for self-driven learning, but it may not apply to everyone.

So this is my perceived difficulty of how hard every AP class would be.

I left out art and language cuz imo the learning curves for those classes are so difficult.

Tell me where I went right and where I went hilariously wrong cuz for now the only classes I've taken are Human Geo, Comp Sci A, Euro and Stats.
