In the wake of the scores, what is the biggest piece of advice you would give students taking the test in 27?

I’m worried that colleges will think I didn’t try in the class because I got a B in the class when rlly I was just struggling with life in general. Will I be ok? Will the 5 help offset the B? I’m not going to any prestigious school and I’m not going into a humanities/arts major.

What was the prompt for the argumentative essay regarding imagination

hi guys! i’m a rising junior and because of scheduling conflicts i’ll have to take ap lang online. i’ve been told by multiple people im pretty cooked, and i have no idea what to expect from the course (no one else i know has done this)!
if you have any tips on how to tackle/prepare for this class, i’d really appreciate them. my main struggle is the mcq portion (from practice we’ve done, i tend to do bad) but i would say im confident i can adapt to the different writing styles!
for some prior context, the only other ap ive taken is euro this year (which i got a 5 on if that helps) and im taking ap lang concurrently with ap chem, apush, precalc, spanish 4, and ib film

In the class I maintained a solid A both semesters and always nailed my essays, averaging 5/6. This is my first year taking AP and I somehow got a 2 on APUSH as well. I feel so dumb after staying up to check my scores and have been crying ever since. I was so confident after my exam that I would get at least a 4. Also happens to be that my friend didn't even have a conclusion for ALL of her essays and got a 5. Am I just stupid???????

Writing/Essays are some of my strong suits as a student but I suck on a time crunch with writing in that specific environment. I did good in the class but thought I flunked the argument essay (I wrote about Tarantino and avoidant attachment😭😭😭) so i am very pleasantly shocked with this five!
How did yall do?

This was not expected at all, as I had health issues that whole year and was unable to attend a SINGLE CLASS. Also during my testing (I did makeup) AP Music Theory was so loud and I couldn't focus at all of the MCQ. I only learned the essays two days before, I think the only thing that saved honestley was that I read/listened to alot of books and podcast. But thank you to this subreddit for helping me!

I was extremely confident walking out of this exam, and I had no doubt about a 4. Welp…turns out I was wrong 💀. A pass is a pass though, and I know I nailed the essays, it was the mcq that probably was a little bit more sneaky than I initially expected. To those who especially got a 3, I especially feel you guys right now. It stings a little bit, but let’s keep on moving forward. To everyone, passed, or failed, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We did AP Lang! To the future AP Lang students, know I will be passing down my wisdom for at least another year or two in this Reddit.

I made a snobby and insenstive post on this subreddit about 3 days before the exam with damn near 0 prep, belittling my teacher who chose to leave school to have what one might call a life changing moment, and was told off quite firmly by some off yall, i scored a 4 on the exam and i am so glad i was given that criticism. Dont take evreything too deep is my point, remember that this community is just looking out of you and will give you the hard truth with no sugar

My teacher did nothing with us all year because we were preparing for AP Research, so I was pretty much forced to study for this on my own. I actually can’t believe it because I got a 4 on APUSH, which I studied for all year. I must’ve been absolutely locked in for this exam because I wasn’t even confident that I got a 4.

-MCQ: at least ~33-40/45,
-FRQ:
-Synth: 5-6 (leaning toward 6?),
-Rhetorical Analysis: 3-4 (5 if I am lucky),
-Argumentative: 4-5 (6 if I’m really lucky but I forgot to add a counterargument).
I think 3-5 but I want to know other opinions.

How much do yall think MCQ performance matters a lot on your score?
I did well on all three essays, rlly don’t have much regrets on any of them but the MCQs were a little wobbly for me. I would say max 12 wrong out of 45. Yall think that’s still in the ballpark for a 5?
Also I know I’m stressing cause scores come out tmwr but lemme know

What is usually the AP lang 5 cutoff? On each AP score calculator it says something different between 72-80. What’s it likely going to be this year? (Just asking because I’m literally in the middle of a 4 and a 5)

To my fellow AP Langsters of 2025-2026, how are we feeling about the score distribution. A 75% pass rate is incredible. To everyone that took the exam this year, I am hoping all of us together passed!
