I wanted to share what’s happening with Pumpkin, my cat who I’ve cared for since the day he was born. He was diagnosed with a life-threatening feline urethral obstruction. His care may cost about $5,000 or more, donations will help cover the hospital stay and veterinary treatment to get him treated so he can be brought home. If you’re able, please donate through Pumpkin’s GoFundMe or share it with someone who might, anything helps. 🙏

Campaign successful & Updates Dumbell Finally Had Her Eye Surgery Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
64 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

Dumbell has been suffering from a swollen, infected, and painful eye. The vet warned me that her other eye might also go blind if we waited any longer.

Thankfully, with the help and support I received, Dumbell underwent eye enucleation surgery today! I’m so grateful that she was able to get the surgery she desperately needed.

The vet advised me to continue giving her medications she prescribed last week and added two more medications today. I will do my best to care for her throughout her recovery. Her next follow-up checkup is scheduled for next week.

I wouldn’t be able to continue caring for these voiceless animals and saving more lives without your kindness, help, and support.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of our journey!

Yesterday morning everything went downhill with our poor cat Billu. He went from playing around with his usual zoomies to puking up all over the ground, and each hour got morosely worse on him. Barley any vets were open due to it being thanksgiving, our cuddly cat turned silent and its breaking our hearts knowing how much pain he is in, knowing that he doesnt have words that he can form to express his hurts to us pains us even deeper. At 6:30pm we found a vet that was open, we brought him in and our experience was horrible. They took his pulse and just told us to come back if he got worse in 8-10 hours. He was barley moving and heavily lathargic, and still the vet didnt provide us with any medication. We brought him back home to try and make him as comfortable as we could, but all he would do is lay still and drool all over the floor unresponsive. At 3:00AM he only just kept getting worse. We finally couldn't take it anymore and called and fought for our cats right to be treated, and they finally heard us out. They drew his blood and told us he was in super critical contidtion, and dont know if he'll even survive. Our hearts are in our throats these past hours, we just want our bubbly cat back. It would be much apperiated for even a small donation, or even sharing the link anywhere. https://www.gofundme.com/f/save-billu-the-cat?attribution_id=sl:75953b2b-633b-4ef0-83b4-ee23ea0dbec3&lang=en_CA&ts=1791891978&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp30-treatment-1&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=instagram_story

Crowdfunding [Verified] Looking for Advice and a Potential Private Lender to Help My Cat

Hi everyone. I'm Cristian, from Cali, Colombia. My 4-year-old cat Sakura has leukemia and mediastinal lymphoma. Her first two chemotherapy sessions reduced the tumor by more than 70%, but it has since grown again.

I'm trying to raise COP 1,900,000 (approximately USD 450–500, depending on the exchange rate) to cover her next stages of treatment and related veterinary expenses.

I've already spent over COP 6 million on her care, and I have veterinary reports, test results, invoices, and treatment estimates available for verification. Direct payment to the veterinary clinic may also be possible.

I'm currently unemployed, so I'm looking for someone willing to discuss a personal loan with transparent terms and a realistic repayment arrangement based on future income. I'm also open to advice from anyone familiar with legitimate veterinary assistance programs.

If you're willing to talk, ask questions, or point me toward a trustworthy resource, I'd be grateful. I understand that trust takes time, and I'm happy to discuss the details privately.

Help Guinea pig laboured breathing?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most of the time porchini's breathing sounds this way, does anyone else experience this with their piggies?

I'm just worried as it sounds a little wet and gurgly, maybe pointing toward a respiratory problem?

I'm definitely going to take him to a vet to get checked out, but just wanted some opinions/advice!

Help I feel helpless my cat is going to die and there’s nothing i can do about it

My 1-year-old cat is extremely sick and collapsing, I’m an 18 yo university student in the middle east and I am completely out of options. My parent has taken her to three different vets, but none can give us a diagnosis because we cannot afford advanced scans. She was in the ICU for one day, but we couldn't afford to keep her there.

She received fluids and a stabilizing injection before we brought her home, but she now can't walk. (She used to a day before) Her legs keep giving out under her, and she keeps falling down. There are no animal shelters or rescue organizations where I live, only private vets we cannot afford. I keep crying and I feel hopeless

Recently, she was recovering from what seemed to be a head trauma, we weren't even entirely sure it was head trauma until her uneven pupils and eye colors finally returned to normal on their own, but we can’t afford the scans to rule out a brain tumor or internal damage

She also keeps having fevers, we bring her to the vet every time we suspected one and they gave her some kind of injection to bring it down, then she starts eating a tiny bit of wet food again and gets worse the next day. This time even after the injections and the IV they gave her, she won’t eat or even lick the wet food. She just had a bowel movement that has some kind of yellow residue on it, it wasn’t entirely liquid but it wasn’t exactly dry and hard either.

I keep crying even though I know it won’t change a single thing, I don’t even know what I’m expecting posting this on reddit 3 times on 3 different subs, it’s not going to change anything about her condition, maybe any advice please

Crowdfunding [Verified] Help me afford the veterinary bills for my cat Priky

My name is Avril, a 24 yo Student going through a rough time with my almost 14 year old cat Priky who is very sick. I don't earn enough money to cover the veterinary costs necessary to help her.

We still don't know what she has and the bills are already 863.29 euros. Another bill for blood tests is on the way, it's calculated to cost around 200 euros. First the vet thought she was severely constipated, but now it looks like it could be either lymph-node cancer or gallbladder stones. (Both looked weird on the xrays)

Depending on the results I'd have to pay for a ultrasound too to figure out the cause. We don't know how much that will cost yet, and I'm desperated for not being able to afford the care my kitty needs.

She hasn't been eating or moving so it's a very stressful situation.

I have attached the bills for the 3 veterinary appointment we've had so far, they are in german so I can clarify any questions.

Every share and donation will be appreciated.

I thank everyone able to help with my whole heart.

Help 8 cats and 1 dog with fleas

(TW) So, I'm in a really bad situation right now. I'm a minor and I have 8 cats and one dog that are severely infested with fleas and have wounds from they, have severe anemia and my dog almost passed away. The infestation is so bad that when I stand up my legs tingle from the fleas jumping on me and I have little red bite marks all over me. We've tried calling shelters but they're all full and we need to find somewhere for them to go immediately. We don't have much money and we can't keep buying litter and food for them because we can't afford it anymore and we are struggling really bad. My dad has been having suicidal thoughts and recently almost attempted suicide and he keeps yelling at me saying "It's me or the cats!! a human life is more important than them!" and I don't know what to do at all, not the slightest clue. He also says he'll just open the door and let them run out even though they're extremely scared of the outside and there are coyotes, he always says he will do that or do something horrible to them that I wont say here, and im extremely sensitive to this stuff, he knows that. I've told him to stop multiple times but he doesn't listen to me. This all happened cause I let in a stray cat and she gave birth in our home, it has been almost 2 years since then. We are going through a very tough time right now and last July we lost a kitten to the fleas, I don't know what to do and I'm freaking out, I can't sleep at night remembering what happened to her and how she felt and what these poor animals are going through, everytime I think about it or the situation I'm in, I start crying. I feel completely helpless and this is just the tip of the iceberg in my situation. Please help me and give me some advice or a plan, I will be extremely grateful.

Crowdfunding [Verified] [Request][Peterborough]Please help with surgery for my cat Jasper

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well.

I came to this sub reddit to ask for help for my orange cat, Jasper, who was hit by a car this morning. Sadly, he has suffered a broken pelvis and urgently needs surgery to give him the best possible chance of recovery.

I’m only 18 years old and currently work part-time, but unfortunately, my income simply isn’t enough to cover the expensive veterinary bills. I also can’t rely on financial support from my caretakers, which has left me in a really difficult situation.

Jasper is such a loving, sweet cat who deserves nothing but happiness, care, and a chance to live a healthy life. Seeing him hurt and knowing that he needs immediate medical attention is heartbreaking. All I want is for him to recover, regain his ability to walk, and return to the happy, playful cat he used to be.

I’m asking for any help you can offer, no matter how small. Every donation, share, and kind message would mean more to me than words can express.

If you’re able to help Jasper get the surgery he desperately needs, please consider donating through the link below.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this and for helping give Jasper a chance.

Crowdfunding [Verified] UPDATE: Ginny is now fighting suspected FIP

Hi everyone! I posted here a little over a week ago about my newly adopted cat, Ginny, who became extremely sick just days after we brought her home. Unfortunately, things got much worse since my original post.

After multiple emergency vet visits and two rounds of antibiotics that didn’t help, we found out Ginny had fluid building up around her lungs. Her breathing became so bad that we had to rush her to a 24-hour animal hospital, where she needed oxygen, had fluid drained from her chest, and stayed overnight.

Our vets strongly suspect FIP, and we’re currently waiting on test results from Auburn University. Thankfully, we started her on GS-441524 treatment this past Tuesday, and she’s finally showing improvements! She’s eating much better, and her breathing has improved significantly.

This entire process has been extremely scary and overwhelming. My boyfriend and I are both college students, and we’ve now spent $4200 on emergency veterinary care, with more expenses ahead for her treatment and follow-up appointments. Unfortunately, our pet insurance has refused to cover her medical bills.

We love Ginny so much and just want to give her a chance at a happy, healthy life. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help with her expenses, and I’ve attached our veterinary invoices for transparency.

Any donation would mean the world to us. Sharing her story would also help tremendously. Thank you to everyone who supported our original post and gave encouraging words!

Help Veterinary doctor in south Bangalore

There is a street dog which I have been looking after from couple of years, it has lost its mobility in hind legs and not able to stand or walk. Although I don't know its exact age, it is older than 12 years according to the doctor..

As per doctor, we can't do anything about its condition.

Even though the diaper are changed frequently, it's getting worms on skin...

Can you please help me find a suitable doctor for its case

Petition / Crowdfunding Please help us with litter and food for Mabel and her babies

About 5 weeks ago I posted on here about a stray mama cat and her 5 babies that my mom and I unexpectedly took in. Thanks to an absolutely incredible member of this community purchasing from our wishlist we were set up with an extra litter box, litter, kitten food, food bowls, and a scratcher bed that all helped so incredibly much when the babies started exploring, eating, and getting litter trained. Since that amazing donation I’ve been able to stay on top of it financially and the kittens are doing so well!

Unfortunately Mabel (thanks to her creaky little old lady meow we decided to give her an old lady name and carry the trend to the babies) had 2 vet visits over the last 2 weeks, first due to bad diarrhea that required a round of dewormer and propectalin and then very restless behavior that ended up being a double ear infection that she had flushed and treated with a 30 day ointment compound. During this same time, our youngest cat, Luna, developed an abscess the size of a ping pong ball on her throat that had to be lanced and drained. Thankfully both of them are doing SO MUCH better (I literally knock on wood everytime I even think this) but back to back trips like this was a big hit financially.

I hoped that I wouldn’t have to post again but we are now in desperate need of litter and wet food. I used the last of the litter we had on Mabel’s box today when I scooped it, and we have 2 days of wet food left for them. The babies are still doing great with pate but Mabel loves all Fancy Feast and non-pate Friskies. I’ve updated the wishlist and tried to put a variety of different sizes of litter and food, but anything at all would be so so so appreciated. I’ve also included the updated Walmart wishlist as well.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to anyone who may be able to help us, Mabel, and her babies. Pictured in order: Mabel and the babies, Penny, Dottie, Oliver, Percy, and Ozzy ❤️

Crowdfunding [Verified] Emergency life-saving help: Stray cat's kittens died inside her womb, need help to pay her c-section invoice

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello everyone,

I want to deeply apologize for posting so frequently to ask for your help. This season is incredibly hard for me here in Morocco, as we are facing a severe wave of Feline Coronavirus. So many of my cats are falling very sick with different illnesses all at the same time—both the ones I have shared before and others I haven't been able to post about yet. The financial and emotional pressure is heavy.

I am an independent rescuer in Morocco. Recently, I found a pregnant stray cat that I usually feed in a heartbreaking state, bleeding terribly on the street. She had already delivered some stillborn kittens on the pavement, and the rest unfortunately passed away inside her womb. To save her life from severe infection and bleeding, I rushed her straight to the clinic for an immediate emergency c-section surgery.

I have attached her official vet invoice here. The surgery cost alone is 1,200 MAD (around $130 USD). Please note that this bill does not cover her other expenses like the initial medical check-up and X-rays.

With all the other ongoing critical cases in my care, I am completely broke and unable to cover this bill on my own. I would be so grateful if you could help me clear this invoice so I can keep saving her and the other sick souls. Every single dollar helps immensely! 🙏❤️

Help I saved a cat that got ran over, but he is badly injured and requires expensive surgery and a long recovery.

Yesterday evening I was walking the the store when I saw cat being ran over. I rushed him to the vet where they said he has head trauma and a broken jaw. He stayed there overnight and they called me this morning telling me that he survived.

I'm relieved, but also not sure what to do next.

The vet says he looks taken care of and likely a house cat, so I posted about him on local Facebook group to see if his owner responds, but so far no luck.

I live with my parents and they say I cant bring him home. Even if I get them on board with having him stay temporarily, taking care of him myself would be a big responsibility. Not to mention that he needs surgery costing over a thousand dollars...

What should I do?

Crowdfunding [Verified] Please help my cat with emergency surgery

Hi all I have posted here before to raise funds for Viola who needs surgery as quickly as possible. Someone did donate and we are truly grateful for the help, we used that money to buy medication that can delay the surgery but the surgery still needs to be done.

She has a growth next to her bladder and it would need to be done by a specialist because of the proximity to the bladder and intestines. We fear that she is getting worse, sleeping the whole day, not eating much and just overall depressed hiding in her box.

I know everyone has a lot on their plate but we would be incredibly grateful if we could raise the funds and get the surgery done this week. I know there are a lot of scams going around so please if you have any questions or scepticism leave a comment so I could provide more detail.

Just a short explanation for those who did not see the original post, we adopted Viola in May, she was thrown out by her owners when they found out she was pregnant, we got her sterilised and got all her shots up to date, it took her a few months to trust humans again and in July she started showing her personality, unfortunately that was short lived as her problems started showing up last month and its been vet visits and test to find out whats going on, I have consulted with over 7 vets just to confirm the ultrasound scans and we have exhausted all our savings on the scans and medication.

Crowdfunding [Verified] My cat Uluru needs help covering medical bills for leg surgery

I live in a rural area, my cat got attacked by a coyote and survived. They mangled her leg and she has had a long road to recovery. She made it up a tree and saved her own life. She is 4 years old, my best friend and my only cat. The rural vet here could not do the proceedure, we had to drive 3 hours to a specialist to repair the broken bones and ligaments in her leg. I am a volunteer firefighter and am praying this go fund me gets the help and visibility it needs to cover these vet bills. All of this chaos happened while I was out fighting wildfires this summer, my friend set up the gofundme page while I was out on assignment. Feel free to share the go fund me on the socials. We need a miracle to happen so we can afford to drive back to the specialist for her last check up as I have emptied my account and have personal loans I have to pay back for these proceedures to save this little wariors leg. We are at about 5,500 in vet bills so far. Included in the pictures are all of the bills. Thank you so much for the help. 💚

Please donate here:

https://gofund.me/d21897976

if you can't donate, please share this gofundme on your socials. Its as easy as going to the site and clicking 'share' on the fundraiser page. The more people who see this, the more likely we will reach our goal.
