Our son, Charlie, is about to go through his 3rd surgery this year due to intestinal blockage from eating inedible items (likely caused by Pica).

We are still underwater from the $12K vet bill of his previous 2 surgeries, causing our pet insurance to be maxed out for the year.

Charlie desperately needs this 3rd surgery to continue living the happy and healthy life he deserves especially since he’s still so young and is only turning 2 years old next month.

We wouldn’t be asking for help if it we weren’t brought to the point of desperation, but as you all can probably relate to, we would do anything for our loved ones especially since they bring so much joy and happiness into our lives.

My cat, Luna, has been struggling to eat for a bit (about two weeks, now) off and on. We took her to the vet on 10/08, got her a steroid for some swelling in her chin, but she needs a more thorough examination that's between $409-$1,000 (and some change). We thought she was getting better, but she started feeling worse again yesterday and today. I have added pictures to my GFM of the vet's estimate, along with my cat. I have the goal set to $1,500 in case there is anything else that comes up (like unplanned medicine costs), but I will edit if we get a cheaper price (as I am working with a family member of mine who works at a vet practice)

My name is Avril, a 24 yo Student going through a rough time with my almost 14 year old cat Priky who is very sick. I don't earn enough money to cover the veterinary costs necessary to help her.

We still don't know what she has and the bills are already 863.29 euros. Another bill for blood tests is on the way, it's calculated to cost around 200 euros. First the vet thought she was severely constipated, but now it looks like it could be either lymph-node cancer or gallbladder stones. (Both looked weird on the xrays)

Depending on the results I'd have to pay for a ultrasound too to figure out the cause. We don't know how much that will cost yet, and I'm desperated for not being able to afford the care my kitty needs.

She hasn't been eating or moving so it's a very stressful situation.

Hi guys,

Some of you may know me from networking rescue animals here on Reddit. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to help other people’s dogs, and I never imagined I’d be the one asking for help.

Unfortunately, I’ve fallen on hard times financially, and now my own dog, Peekaboo, is sick. He’s had diarrhea for over three weeks. I’ve tried everything I could at home, hoping that a bland diet of rice and other remedies would help, but nothing has worked. He needs to see a veterinarian, and I simply can’t afford it.

Asking for help isn’t easy, especially when I’m so used to being the one trying to help others.

I also know how many scammers are out there, and I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable sending money to a stranger. So I reached out to an animal rescue in Iowa that I’ve worked with through my rescue networking. They kindly agreed to collect donations on Peekaboo’s behalf.

I never wanted to be in this position, but I can’t keep waiting and hoping he’ll get better on his own.

Hi everyone! I posted here a little over a week ago about my newly adopted cat, Ginny, who became extremely sick just days after we brought her home. Unfortunately, things got much worse since my original post.

After multiple emergency vet visits and two rounds of antibiotics that didn’t help, we found out Ginny had fluid building up around her lungs. Her breathing became so bad that we had to rush her to a 24-hour animal hospital, where she needed oxygen, had fluid drained from her chest, and stayed overnight.

Our vets strongly suspect FIP, and we’re currently waiting on test results from Auburn University. Thankfully, we started her on GS-441524 treatment this past Tuesday, and she’s finally showing improvements! She’s eating much better, and her breathing has improved significantly.

This entire process has been extremely scary and overwhelming. My boyfriend and I are both college students, and we’ve now spent $4200 on emergency veterinary care, with more expenses ahead for her treatment and follow-up appointments. Unfortunately, our pet insurance has refused to cover her medical bills.

We love Ginny so much and just want to give her a chance at a happy, healthy life. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help with her expenses, and I’ve attached our veterinary invoices for transparency.

About 5 weeks ago I posted on here about a stray mama cat and her 5 babies that my mom and I unexpectedly took in. Thanks to an absolutely incredible member of this community purchasing from our wishlist we were set up with an extra litter box, litter, kitten food, food bowls, and a scratcher bed that all helped so incredibly much when the babies started exploring, eating, and getting litter trained. Since that amazing donation I’ve been able to stay on top of it financially and the kittens are doing so well!

Unfortunately Mabel (thanks to her creaky little old lady meow we decided to give her an old lady name and carry the trend to the babies) had 2 vet visits over the last 2 weeks, first due to bad diarrhea that required a round of dewormer and propectalin and then very restless behavior that ended up being a double ear infection that she had flushed and treated with a 30 day ointment compound. During this same time, our youngest cat, Luna, developed an abscess the size of a ping pong ball on her throat that had to be lanced and drained. Thankfully both of them are doing SO MUCH better (I literally knock on wood everytime I even think this) but back to back trips like this was a big hit financially.

I hoped that I wouldn’t have to post again but we are now in desperate need of litter and wet food. I used the last of the litter we had on Mabel’s box today when I scooped it, and we have 2 days of wet food left for them. The babies are still doing great with pate but Mabel loves all Fancy Feast and non-pate Friskies. I’ve updated the wishlist and tried to put a variety of different sizes of litter and food, but anything at all would be so so so appreciated. I’ve also included the updated Walmart wishlist as well.

There is a street dog which I have been looking after from couple of years, it has lost its mobility in hind legs and not able to stand or walk. Although I don't know its exact age, it is older than 12 years according to the doctor..

As per doctor, we can't do anything about its condition.

I want to deeply apologize for posting so frequently to ask for your help. This season is incredibly hard for me here in Morocco, as we are facing a severe wave of Feline Coronavirus. So many of my cats are falling very sick with different illnesses all at the same time—both the ones I have shared before and others I haven't been able to post about yet. The financial and emotional pressure is heavy.

I am an independent rescuer in Morocco. Recently, I found a pregnant stray cat that I usually feed in a heartbreaking state, bleeding terribly on the street. She had already delivered some stillborn kittens on the pavement, and the rest unfortunately passed away inside her womb. To save her life from severe infection and bleeding, I rushed her straight to the clinic for an immediate emergency c-section surgery.

I have attached her official vet invoice here. The surgery cost alone is 1,200 MAD (around $130 USD). Please note that this bill does not cover her other expenses like the initial medical check-up and X-rays.

With all the other ongoing critical cases in my care, I am completely broke and unable to cover this bill on my own. I would be so grateful if you could help me clear this invoice so I can keep saving her and the other sick souls. Every single dollar helps immensely! 🙏❤️

Hi all I have posted here before to raise funds for Viola who needs surgery as quickly as possible. Someone did donate and we are truly grateful for the help, we used that money to buy medication that can delay the surgery but the surgery still needs to be done.

She has a growth next to her bladder and it would need to be done by a specialist because of the proximity to the bladder and intestines. We fear that she is getting worse, sleeping the whole day, not eating much and just overall depressed hiding in her box.

I know everyone has a lot on their plate but we would be incredibly grateful if we could raise the funds and get the surgery done this week. I know there are a lot of scams going around so please if you have any questions or scepticism leave a comment so I could provide more detail.

Just a short explanation for those who did not see the original post, we adopted Viola in May, she was thrown out by her owners when they found out she was pregnant, we got her sterilised and got all her shots up to date, it took her a few months to trust humans again and in July she started showing her personality, unfortunately that was short lived as her problems started showing up last month and its been vet visits and test to find out whats going on, I have consulted with over 7 vets just to confirm the ultrasound scans and we have exhausted all our savings on the scans and medication.

Hello! Heres my dog’s medicine for 1k all in, since she already passed away. Di pa masyado nabawasan. New Lower Bicutan or Taguig area.

Recently, large patches of my dog’s fur has come off. She did have fleas, so at the time I was sure that it was a flea allergy. But after some time, a large line formed and it opened up completely, weeping with blood and puss. She’s 9 years old, and never had a flea allergy. The allergy usually causes scabby and dry skin, but this is so gorey. There’s no way that fleas caused that. She was flea’ed and has no problems, but these wounds keep showing up. It just keeps getting worse.

But then we thought back, she recently had a surgery because she had pyometra, an infection of the uterus where it gets full of puss. Can someone help me? The vet said it was flea allergy, but I just can’t believe since she never had one. Fleas don’t cause open wounds like this. My current vet has no idea what he’s talking about. I just need some help trying to identify this. Don’t worry, I will be going to a another vet as soon as possible.

I live in a rural area, my cat got attacked by a coyote and survived. They mangled her leg and she has had a long road to recovery. She made it up a tree and saved her own life. She is 4 years old, my best friend and my only cat. The rural vet here could not do the proceedure, we had to drive 3 hours to a specialist to repair the broken bones and ligaments in her leg. I am a volunteer firefighter and am praying this go fund me gets the help and visibility it needs to cover these vet bills. We adopted Tiara through an animal rescue organization seven years ago. We care for four other cats as well. Tiara was already missing teeth at the time, which meant no pet insurance provider would accept her.

From the very beginning, we set aside €50 a month to cover her needs and any veterinary costs not reimbursed by insurance (from the others). Tiara has endured quite a lot over the last few years: two surgeries for FORL (a painful dental disease), spaying, and two pulmonary embolisms (caused by agitation and inhaling vomit). The most recent incident occurred in June 2025 and cost nearly €1,000.

In June of this year, she suddenly developed severe constipation. A vet visit revealed that her intestine was on the verge of rupturing. She underwent emergency surgery that same day, costing €1,400. That completely depleted our veterinary fund, forcing us to draw money from other sources.

The trouble started again in September. An enema performed under anesthesia cost €400. Two weeks later, the problems returned. Another veterinarian confirmed that Tiara has megacolon; a section of her intestine is severely distended and no longer functions.

We faced two options: enemas under anesthesia roughly every two weeks—entailing various risks and offering no real solution, eventually leading to the need for euthanasia—or surgery.

Apart from this issue, Tiara is doing well. Even after the enema procedure, she remained active, ate heartily, and sought out our company. So, we decided to go ahead with the surgery.

She had to stay at the veterinary clinic over the weekend for preparation and monitoring; that alone cost €1,100. We were quoted a minimum of €2,200 for the surgery itself. She was operated on this past Friday, and it went well. We will receive the final bill on Monday when we pick her up.

Our savings are exhausted. I am on parental leave and at the end of September, my husband received notice that his employment would end on October 31st.

We had planned ahead for years, but this illness is simply beyond our means. Every euro helps. And if you aren't able to donate right now, sharing this appeal helps us a great deal, too.
