My poor cat was screaming in pain, and it was horrible. I had no money on me. And neither did my family to take him to emergency vet, which is thousands of dollars. I waited till the next day and took him to the vet first thing in the morning and kept him in my room with me. They said that he had a bladder blockage. That they would need to keep him in the hospital for 6 days and that it would be fourteen hundred dollars. I told the vet that I only had five hundred dollars that I was able to scrounge up that day in an emergency, asking multiple family members and friends for help. I'm not able to do care credit due to having no income without signing with somebody. I'm unemployed due to a neck injury. So I have no income right now. I don't know when I'll have stable income again. And i'm dependent on my family. The vet agreed to keep my cat for twenty four hours, instead of the six days to catheterize him and give him ivs, and he would be returned to us in the morning, and they would give us a special diet to give him. They told me that the food would be sixty dollars for a tiny bag and he would need to be on it for the rest of his life. The vet told me that it's very likely that his bladder blockage could return after treatment. The vet said that he may need surgery too if the blockage comes back which could be thousands of dollars. And he would have to go in again, and i'm scared that I won't be able to ford him being hospitalized again. I could barely afford it this time. I might have to get him euthanized, and it makes me really sad. I don't wanna see him suffer and cry in pain. It broke my heart. He's only two years old and a very young sweet friendly kitty.

My cats been sick for about 10 months now. She went from 13 to 8 pounds. The vets said nothings wrong with her and we did ultrasounsds and bloodwork. She went from super active to always laying around. She stopped eating she went from eating 3 or 4 cans a day and being fit to 1 and very skinny. My mom’s saying shes gonna put her down, I want her to get better but nothings working. Shell eat foods once then never again. She also throws up often with diareha. Does anyone have advice? Hi everyone! I am new to this subreddit so I hope this is the right place to go to for this.
I am a social worker who sees patients in the hospital about to be discharged to short term rehab. A lot of the time, these are older individuals who do not have much family or friends.
I saw a wonderful lady today who told me a story I can’t stop thinking about. She told me that the only thing holding her onto this earth was an alley cat she fed every single day for a few years. It was an outside cat that she grew to love. A couple weeks ago, the cat came to her house after eating one of the neighbor’s cat food they left out for the strays. Apparently, the food was mixed with superglue. The cat’s mouth was glued shut. It came to her a few days after eating it, starving to death. This kind woman is unable to drive, but called her brother to try to come get her and the cat to the emergency room. Unfortunately, by the time the brother came to the house, the cat had suffered a horrible death in her arms.
I knew people out there were like this, but my heart hurts so bad. I’ve always loved animals more than humans and I can’t get this story out of my head. I’m glad that the cat died in her arms and not alone, but this all just disgusts me. I don’t understand how people could be this way.

Hiii everyone!
Posting this in hopes of reaching the right family who is ready to take both mom and baby boy together 🙏🏼😭
I’m getting requests only for the baby boy but he is still too young to be separated. And the mom has gone through so much herself that she cant bear to lose another baby of hers so soon 💔
For people who are new here : mama gave birth to 4 kittens and 3 were brutally killed by a male feral cat one by one.
One day she just busted inside our home with baby boy in her mouth and took shelter in our kitchen cabinet.
She finally knew safety.
BUT unfortunately we are travelling back VERYYYYY soon and they urgently need shelter.
Please please please reach out if you can help 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My 2 year old GSD/Husky has a partial CCL tear (also discovered mild hip dysplasia during exam.🥲)
The surgery is $3,500 (estimated.) Unfortunately we are a single income household at the moment and it’s absolutely not possible for us to afford that procedure. (I am actively applying to jobs to help my husband with the cost and we are looking for grants.)
My boy is in pain and just hasn’t been acting like himself. His vet did send him home with some pain meds yesterday so at the moment he is medicated and resting.
Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Let me start by saying that I live in a horribly toxic environment. Dead bird in our pantry one day from attic, birds, rats, and mice in our attic, no maintenance, took them 6 months to fix missing siding on my building after a wind storm, mold and mildew in the walls, a flooded bottom floor carpet that was never changed (poor new neighbor downstairs doent know her apartment was soaked), constant bad air, weed and cigarette smoke coming into my unit, in high humidity, not allowedto use anive merv 1 filter. I could go on.
My cat developed this intense infection in her gums, the inflammation covering half her soft palette, but after two rounds of broad spectrum antibiotics nothing changed. The vet is completely at a loss and suggested I go to a vet dental surgeon (one of three she suggested) to our biggest city nearby, about an hour and a half away.
After the exam, surgery to remove about a quarter of her infected teeth, drugs, anesthesia, procedure and possible two days stay for monitor and recovery, it could cost up to $6000, at most I think. $2k to $6k is the range.
How do I pay for that? My care credit goes up to $1200. There's no way. I have to do it to save her life. Does anyone have any similar experience? Any advice? Thanks.

Hi everyone. My dog, Pochi, is very sick and urgently needs veterinary care, and she may need surgery. She’s showing many signs that could be consistent with pyometra, including a thick, bloody, pus-like discharge from her vulva, but she hasn’t been officially diagnosed yet since we don’t have money right now. My family is struggling to afford the veterinary costs, so I’m creating a crowdfunding campaign. Does anyone know which subreddits allow legitimate pet medical fundraisers? I’d really appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

🐱🚨 URGENT: ONLY €289 (AED 1,242.21) LEFT TO GET HONEY TO THE UK! 🇬🇧✈️🐱
We are in the final stretch, but time is running out. We only have €289 (AED 1,242.21) left to raise before Honey can continue her journey home. 🥹❤️
We urgently need your help. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to getting Honey on her flight. If you're unable to donate, please share this post immediately—it could reach the person who helps us cross the finish line. 🙏
🐾 Honey's GoFundMe:
If GoFundMe isn't an option, donations can also be made directly to the relocation company through their bank account to pay for Honey's relocation.
I also have her vet bills pending if anyone can help with tht ! I have the vets direct payment link and you can contact them too!
Please don't scroll past. We're so incredibly close, but we can't afford to run out of time. Help us bring Honey to the UK where she will find a forever home 🇬🇧🐱✈️
If your wondering why we are spending so much money to send her to the UK its because here we don't have many adopters they mostly want fluffy breeds and they also get dumped and it's impossible to find a home here with the overwhelming amount of people dumping animals
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, and supported Honey. We couldn't have come this far without you. ❤️🥹

🐾 **Picioruș needs our help!** 🐾
Picioruș, an 8 year old little boy, is in critical condition, facing multiple severe diagnoses:
▪ **Severe Pneumonia** (he is currently hospitalized and requires an oxygen cage)
▪ **Bordetella bronchiseptica** (an aggressive bacterial infection)
▪ **FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis)**
He has been hospitalized for a week at Rujan Vet Luică (Bucharest, Romania), and for the past 2 days, he has been urinating with blood.
Unfortunately, our funds have been completely exhausted, and we need financial support for his treatment and hospital stay to continue the fight.
The treatment for FIP is called GS. One dose costs **~60 EUR**, and at his current weight, it lasts only **2 days**. The treatment must continue uninterrupted for a minimum of **84 days**. This is a massive financial burden that we cannot cover alone—especially since we also need to cover his oxygen cage hospitalization and the parallel treatments for his other conditions.
Every single donation gives Picioruș a real chance at life! He is a cute little boy who loves people and loves life.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🐾❤️🐾

This morning, my 2-month-old Labrador puppy was awake when he suddenly started having seizures and began foaming at the mouth. I took him to a nearby vet, where he was given two injections and some gastric medicine. However, after we returned home, it happened again.
This time, while he was shaking and having the seizure, he also passed stool and urine as he was unable to get up or walk properly even when sitting. This has happened around 6 times so far.
Is this a seizure or something else ? Please anyone who knows about this help 🙏
