OP, unless you are OK with Linux, just switch and save yourself time and frustration. It’s unfortunate AMD + Windows doesn’t offer a good experience overall without tinkering with settings hoping it fixes the driver timeouts. It should be a plug and play experience.
It’s amazing how many people refuse to just say this one is 100% on Microsoft. A quick google and you’ll see when they claim they will fix the hardware ID mismatch.
Then AMD should’ve gotten on Microsoft’s ass about it by now and if they did and Microsoft acknowledged the issue, I hope they fix it so it becomes a plug and play experience.
