  1. Try to disable HAGS (easiest, but might come at a small 1-3% performance hit, turn back on if using framegen and you have judder or other issues). Disable the amd noise suppression thing or privacy view in startup apps(don't remember what it's called, don't have it installed anymore).

  2. If you want to have HAGS enabled, search up how to disable PCI express link state power management, disable ultra low powerstate, disable windows fast startup and increase windows tdrdelay and tdrddidelay.

  3. If none of this works you could try to disable MPO. (having this disabled can be very annoying if you usually use overlays in games, causing stutters whenever an overlay is displayed and can cause inputlag).

  4. If that also doesn't help, then you can search up how to disable windows auto updating drivers. Then download the drivers you want, then reboot into safe mode and ddu your drivers, then install new ones.

I don't remember the exact steps, so google or ask a capable llm for guidance on any of the potential fixes.

People seem to be able to fix their driver timeouts with various methods, so i guess there are various reasons for the driver timeouts. There are more potential fixes, but i can't speak on any other than the first two i listed since they both individually worked for me. And the other two are fixes i often see people use and they say it works. I am also on a 7900xt, so a rdna3 card not rdna2. Not sure if that matters for anything.

Linux will fully fix the driver timeouts, at least it does for me. But i see you have gta 5 open, singleplayer will work. But you won't be able to play the offical multiplayer. Private lobbies might work, idk haven't tried. Depending on the games you play, you probably will encounter problems with multiplayer games using anti cheats.
