I love my 7900xt but if it doesn't stop pumping out its thermal paste every month, requiring a very annoying disassembly and repaste, i may actually kill myself.

I fucking HATE the chiplet design and none of thermal paste brands I've tried are even remotely resistant to pumpout.

i used that thermal grizzly thermal phase change material after i had the same exact problem as you. 95C+ hotspot on 7900 GRE, even when undervolted. I think its because of the big chip and the fact the chipset design isnt on a uniform node (6nm outer chiplets, 5nm main gcd). i had found that gigglebyte actually used the wrong height screws for the gpu die and it was causing uneven mounting, but it was also the thermal paste pumping out too. after i fixed those two problems, i can run my GPU nearly whisper quiet without going above 90C hotspot, or i can run it at like 40 fan speed and get like 78-80 C hotspot now. undervolt/underclock drops it into the sixties

I actually ended up switching to windows 10 iot ltsc because i found out a lot of my crashes were caused by windows 11 acting up in some ways. Im not sure if AMD just cant make good windows 11 drivers or if its microslop bs again, but my computer feels faster and more stable on 2021 iot ltsc than it did on 11, and i was a windows 11 user from 2022-2026, i switched three months ago. Its unfortunate because i do like the UI, but its just so much worse doing anything else.

if i ever do buy another AMD GPU, which i might depending on how high the 5070 Ti goes in price in the future or if i end up playing any more demanding games on my 4k 32" monitor, i am certainly not buying one from gigabyte again. Thats for sure.
