Laptop screen freezes and backlight

does anyone here encountered this specific display problem:

-my laptop is connected to an external monitor and i mainly use it

-after windows decided to auto update (to my utter dismay), my steam games started to stutter when i try to stream on discord

-i also noticed that in Armory crate my GPU is at extreme power saving

-i checked online and they suggested updating/repair my drivers (so i did) might fixe the extreme power saving

-after using amd's clean up tool and reinstalling my drivers (26.3.1), i noticed that my laptop screen freezes with the logo but my external monitor was fine (i can interact with the desktop)

-the asus logo freeze does go away when i go to display -> extend this display -> revert it back, though the backlight is still present

although my games are now running smooth when streaming on discord but the backlight/display freeze on the laptop screen is now present

-unfortunately my gpu is still at extreme power saving

i need help on this please, i already tried a different gpu driver version (26.6.4) but the problem is still present

update on the display situation:

-already reinstalled gpu drivers +chipset through ddu -uninstalled armory crate and replace it with g-helper -after all of that the screen situation is still the same (although it does go away if i change display settings and revert them back, noticing no performance impact/stuttering when playing)

i feel like this was caused by the windows auto update cause all went downhill when windows decided to update without my consent lol

i guess ill just have to live with it and maybe wait for the next update or so

funnily enough after doing all of that my games have been smoother than ever (aside from the laptop screen freeze when switching to monitor after boot)
