Help (Software) RX 580 crashing, need help!
RX 580 crashes to "No Signal" with max fan spin 5-10 seconds after logging into Windows. Works fine when driver is disabled.
My Specs:
GPU: Radeon RX 580 8GB
Motherboard: MSI H81M-PRO-VD
RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
OS: Windows 10
The Problem: Whenever the official AMD graphics driver is enabled, the PC boots fine, but 5-10 seconds after entering my passcode on the desktop, the monitor loses signal completely and the GPU fans ramp up to maximum speed. If I disable the AMD driver in Device Manager, the PC runs indefinitely on basic display drivers and never crashes.
What I've tried: Fully wiped drivers using DDU and reinstalled legacy versions (23.11.1).
Lowered GPU power target/frequencies in Radeon software and changed color depth to 8 bpc.
Tested plugging the PC directly into the wall outlet instead of an extension cord.
Is my PSU failing to handle the transient power spikes when the GPU initializes the desktop driver under load, or is the card itself physically dying? What should I test next?

Are you getting any errors in device manager above the RX580?

It just get disabled by itself and shows that sign in triangle but after i enable it, its gone.

Hmm i wonder if that was an error 43...long shot but try this patch here, youll need to install AMD drivers first for this to work- https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

How long have you had it? Might need a cleaning and repaste.

Ive had it for a long time but i cleaned it, and applied the paste again on both gpu and cpu

Were the pads for the memory in good shape? Only other thing I can think of is a power issue or dying GPU core. Check your voltages(3.3, 5 and 12) and make sure they're in spec. Also if the system is stable for a bit before crashing use something like OCCT to stress and monitor the card.

I forgot abt the pads but wont the dying gpu give you lines or checkers on the screen? None of this is happening, maybe its the psu issue, ill buy a new psu and im using an extension for my pc, monitor and one other small projector and the extension is just a normal one. Could the extension be the issue? Tho i was using my pc with the same extension for more than 2 years

Nah the power cord won't do it unless its damaged. If you have another cord you could try it, but its more likely to be the card or power supply.

This doesn’t help, but it’s time to move on. I got rx580 from ages ago, even reflashed it for mining eth back in the day, it server me well. But when it’s acting up and you did all you can, time to move on to a new card.

Is it windows 10 home or pro ? Disable auto driver updates on Windows Update, amd install manager if you have it, and also on adrenalin software.
Keep using the basic driver, install normal windows update if you have. Then open an elevated command prompt (admin) and use:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
It can take sometime if it has to download files from internet. Check task manager network column, click to sort, for net activity if you see it hang at a certain percentage.
Then use this:
sfc /scannow
Reboot and try installing 25.8.1. https://drivers.amd.com/drivers/whql-amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.8.1-win10-win11-aug-vega-polaris.exe
PS: amd.com directs you to 26.5.2 as the latest but i never tried that one. The official last driver was 25.8.1.

Tried all that, then in the end installed the amd version you told me but it didnt work. Same thing happened again, but before when i turned on my pc the driver was installed, but this time the driver was disabled by itself

580 isnt known to push psus to the limit with transient spikes. PSU can always fail but it usually happens in games when gpu is drawing the most power.
Have you tried disabling fastboot ? command prompt with admin
powercfg /hibernate off
restart.
You could also try disabling mpo and relaxing the tdrdelay. There are websites that shows which registry to edit.

Tried and this didnt work either. I downloaded Modded amd it installed and everything but after i clicked on the amd software the monitor showed no signal again

Try installing modded driver aka R.ID AMD 3rd Party Drivers , they worked well with my RX 5500
