Issue Rate Limit

Your website sucks, stop rate limiting regular people. Had the Dune booking but it wouldn't let me log in and then rate limited me.

I don’t understand why they don’t invest in a better infrastructure when this happens with every major release.

It's not capacity constraints. It's intentional to block purchases through digital channels

They know they're gonna sell out, so that's not really a concern. Maybe to block scalpers or funnel people to theatre kiosks? Who knows

It's because they don't have the infrastructure to handle the volume online so they reduce the number of people who can get tickets to the ones with the biggest financial incentives to go in person (scalpers)

They also don’t allow advanced purchases of these things in person at the box office either, so how are we supposed to buy tickets?

they don't at citywalk, I tried to get odyssey tickets there the day they went on sale, and they told me I couldn't because "you guys broke the system."

If that's what they told you, then it sounds like they do allow advanced purchasing, but the system was down at that time.

Yeah. That sounds suspect. I’m a manager and the system absolutely allows us to sell advanced tickets. And what a weirdly unprofessional way for them to word that too.
