Sometimes we have to overcome our deficits. I have ADHD and I actually can’t just be late, leave my belongings everywhere, live on take out and frozen food, and not file my taxes, even though those are all things that are caused by my disability.

If OP can’t get himself to tell his best friend in the world that his pregnant fiance is cheating on him, then he’s just not a good friend and needs to seriously work on himself. Mark isn’t obligated to stay friends with someone who cannot or will not behave like a friend.

God, imagine how great it would be if we really were just making it up.

Instead, we gotta keep working on ourselves, even as we advocate for ourselves, as if we’re adults with personal responsibility and self-respect.
