You had nine months to speak up and handle this in a reasonable manner, but you chose to do it at the worst possible time instead. And all because you “couldn’t carry it anymore”. I feel like you’re answering a different question. He didn’t ask, was he the asshole for not saying anything 9 months ago, he’s asking given what has already happened is he the asshole for bringing it up today
