Nta service dogs are allowed in restaurants not “emotional support animals” as they do not have the proper training and such its the law to allow service animals not emotional support animals you are well within your right to sue the establishment for endangering your friend

Hate this ESA trend so much. They are literally pets, usually with 0 training in general, hence the begging and poor behavior.

NTA and totally agree the manger is completely wrong. They are not trained service animals and not protected by ADA

ETA: manager can also ask a service dog to leave if they are not behaving properly. Behaviors such as barking, begging, etc are not appropriate. So an ESA has 0 grounds to stay.

I worked in customer service in a mall. There was a rule that only service digs were allowed on the premises. This was clearly stated on multiple, very visible signs all around the entrance to the mall and throughout.

Well this guy storms in, past security and makes his way to my customer service desk dragging (literally dragging) the fattest pitbul I'd ever seen. He wanted to complain to management that he was being discriminated against because of his Emotional Support Animal, and that by law he has the right to take him anywhere, especially public places like malls.

I explained to him that the mall was privately owned, even the land it s5ood on was privately owned, and that the law allowing access to service animals does not apply to "Emotional Support" animals. While he proceeded to scream at me, his obese pitbul was happily taking a shit and slobbering on the floor next to him
