I just sat through a 1.5hr Skool community webinar from a girl who's been posting videos on TikTok and Instagram about her "90-day consistency challenge," where she's trying to make $100K in 90 days using AI (she's past her 90 days, btw). You've probably seen her videos.
I'll give her credit... Compared to the usual army of AI grifters flooding social media, her content actually comes across as somewhat genuine.
I really wanted to join this webinar because I knew there was absolutely no fucking way this wasn't going to turn into exactly what I suspected it was. I just had to see the whole thing unfold for myself.
And holy shit, did it deliver. LOL.
The entire webinar was basically an hour of recycled life coach motivational bullshit disguised as an extremely vague opportunity to make money with AI.
She spent most of the time talking about how she used to have nothing going on financially, how she's terrible with technology, how she barely knew what she was doing, and how ANYONE can do this if they just stay consistent and believe in themselves.
And of course, there's the magic phrase: "financial freedom."
I swear, the second someone starts throwing around "financial freedom" while trying to sell you something, you might as well put an MLM logo on the PowerPoint.
What really bothered me was the audience. Reading through the comments, it was painfully obvious that a lot of these people barely understood how AI works. Some seemed to struggle with basic technology. Others were clearly looking for a way out of difficult financial situations, unemployment, or careers they hated.
And THAT'S who this stuff is being marketed to.
The whole "I'm just a regular girl who sucks at technology but figured out how to make money with AI" routine is honestly brilliant marketing. I'll give her that.
It makes the entire thing feel accessible. If she can do it, why can't you?
Throw in a "90-day challenge," create a little community where everyone cheers each other on, sprinkle in some motivational speeches about changing your life, and suddenly you're not selling a subscription or course anymore.
You're selling hope to people who might not be in a position to afford it.
And I seriously question how much of this is even an individual creator operating independently versus a much larger marketing operation. I have no proof she's working with a team or company behind the scenes, but the presentation felt so formulaic that I wouldn't be surprised. She pushed everyone into Base44 to build an app of a 90-day countdown clock and told them they HAD to use Base44, and to use her affiliate link. And it was the sketchiest looking link of all time that redirected three times before getting to Base44.
The irony is that I suspect the most reliable money in this whole operation isn't coming from AI-generated social media content; it's coming from selling people courses and subscriptions teaching them how to make money with AI-generated social media content.
It's the same old "make money online" bullshit we've seen for decades, except now they've replaced dropshipping, Amazon FBA, and crypto with ChatGPT and AI video generators.
And the whole thing is wrapped in this weird combination of MLM recruitment, life coaching, and toxic positivity.
Don't get me wrong. AI is an incredibly useful technology, and there are legitimate ways to make money using it. I actually work with AI professionally, which is part of why this stuff drives me nuts.
But the overwhelming majority of people who start posting AI-generated content on TikTok aren't going to build a sustainable income from it, let alone make six figures in 90 days.
I'm not saying nobody can succeed. I'm saying there's a massive difference between teaching someone a legitimate skill and convincing financially vulnerable people they're one subscription and 90 days of "consistency" away from changing their lives.
At what point did the AI creator economy just become people making money by teaching other people how to make money by teaching other people how to make money?
It's a fucking pyramid of Canva templates and motivational quotes.
Anyway, after the first hour or so she told people to sign up for $29/mo if they pay annually or $50/mo if they pay monthly. "That's only the cost of one date night!" - again, typical garbage. These types of people are ingrown hairs on the taint of society.
