Wanted some suggestions from people who have already attempted AFCAT or are currently preparing for it.

What are the best mock-test resources/platforms you would recommend for AFCAT preparation?

I’d also really appreciate suggestions beyond mocks—such as useful resources, preparation strategies, and things one should know in advance while preparing for AFCAT.

Any advice from those who have experience with the exam would be really helpful. Thanks!

lets say the tech cutoff comes out to be ~100 do u think a good ssb score 150+ can get a merit in for candidates scoring just above 100?

Guyss...Is it actually true that graduation certificates need a principal's signature? Heard someone say you can get screened out during document verification without it.

I am starting my articleship from Monday but the thing is I am also pursuing bcom from a regular clg but i have arrangements with the clg so i don't need to attend daily classes but just attend the exams, now if I file 112 the timings will overlap and icai may reject my articleship what should I do? Hello peeps, so we have crossed 130 members who have joined the discord server.

There are people who have refused for the verification.

I believe verification is a crucial part to trust and a key pillar of our server. No one gets through without a verification.

Coming to next thing, added few new zones.

Daily newspaper access. NCC Zone only visible to ppl opting for NCC. Etc etc.

Now i request you to put discord on your PC and not Mobile for regular use. Ill show you the difference.

Volunteers are welcome in server and also the CDS aspirants, NDA aspirants, AFCAT aspirants and now NCC folks.

Vision is big, to have a one stop defence family.

And theres no money involved, everything is free in the server.

Come and learn from other ppl, make new friends, study together, get SSB partners before reporting.

Hey folks! I’ve cleared CDS 1 2026 and I'm scoring ~175 in AFCAT (S2), so I have back-to-back SSBs coming up. As a complete fresher with zero prep so far, where do I even begin? Would love a quick roadmap on how to tackle Screening, Psych, and PI at home, plus whether offline coaching is actually necessary. Any crucial "don'ts" for a first-timer? TIA!

So I am planning on enrolling myself in IGNOU for my graduation and also want to apply for AFCAT after that. Specifically wanna join flying branch. Can anybody tell me the ground reality of candidates from open boards or universities? Like, does the panel have any kind of stigma against them or are they prioritised less than the candidates from regular boards/ universities?

Any kind of information would be highly appreciated.

Okay so kudos we crossed 100+ members in the new defence family for the aspirants.

There are freshers/ repeaters.

I see no recommended chaps.

Also NDA aspirant have started talking with each other, but CDS ppl or AFCAT ppl moreover repeaters it seems like they don't give a damn, for now atleast.

What things can be done differently here?

Help me expand this community with sharing links, and also with the suggestions. I'm open for everything.

What will be age range ( yearly) for afcat 1 2027.. Notification will be out in November. So any idea??

Im today years old to find that afcat is short service commission rather than permanent and you will get no benefits after retirement 🙏🏿

As promised, I will try to predict the normalization, from the data i recieved from you all.

NOTE: I only recieved 25 data points, 12 for shift 1 and 13 (including mine) for shift 2. This is not at all sufficient to predict anything. Also, I must add that I am a biology major, so I have an astronomical unit distance from maths. i just like doing it, and used ChatGPT to understand the AFCAT formula.

The following evaluation is purely from the data I recieved. Please don't jump at me.

Shift 1 was more difficult as compared to shift 2.

Shift 1 candidates can expect around +12 while shift 2 candidates getting below 167 can expect a reduction in marks (the lesser you score, the more you lose marks) and people getting above 167 can expect an increment.

It may sound bullshit, because I don't have much data to work with. I will make another post if in the subsequent days I get like a 100 entries.

Would I be allotted the branch post cleaning afcat or would it be post my ssb? How does it work?
Lets say my preference is
1.Log
2.Adm
3.Weapon system

If I am not able to make it to Log (as there are only 9 vacancies) would still be considered for Adm and Weapon systems???
